I can build 3D models, but it takes a long time and I can't make proper textures, so the ships I'd make wouldn't look great in the game. It's really the textures that make the ships look good. Also: I don't feel like going through all the conversion troubles to get the ships in the game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

Also: There IS no Spiegelretourschip in the game at the moment. If someone would make one, I might consider using that one instead. Then I will. And thanks a LOT! Like I said many times before: I absolutely adore your reskins. I have made 3D models myself and textured them and I know enough about it to know that you are an excellent texturer while I very much am not. I am capable of making functional textures, but nothing more. Your textures take on a life of their own. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
 
and still it would be great if you could moddel a ship for us pieter cause youre ships for that other game(forgot the name) are great with detail REALLY AWESOME

My models for that game could've been so much better. I looked at them again yesterday and wasn't particularly impressed. But then I am never happy with my own work... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

As far as modeling for PotC goes: Without proper texuring, my models would feel terribly out-of-place. And I can't do proper texturing. And like I said: I don't feel lik going through the trouble of conversion, because converting ships from 3DS MAX to PotC seems particularly hard. Even more work than the actual modeling. Not to mention that I am way too busy doing other things. So you won't see any ships 100% modeled by me in PotC. Ever. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

As I am ignorant of proper modelling my mapship rigs were cobbled together with Inez tool, so it is good that you overhaul the mapships. More please <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
I'll get back to this as time permits. Unfortunately Build 13 is asking just about all of my time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
At the moment I am so busy that I can't even keep up with everything going on at the forum, let alone working on Build 13, let alone working on a mod that is not for Build 13. This is why this mod is currently just as far as it was with the previous update. One day I will continue with it, but when that might be...? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I continued my work on improving the mapships mod. I finished the player ship and the Dutch ship. I still need to start the other ships. And I must rescale them, because they're too large at the moment. But I reckon they're turning out pretty well. And with the flag I added to the Dutch ship, it should be pretty darn obvious to any player that it's a Dutch ship. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
that dutch ship certainly looks good. but what's with the player's ship? it looks like the rigging of a brig stuck onto a frigate. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> all those guns in comparison to the amount of sails just look a bit wierd from the top. but maybe a brig really has that much guns. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

aah, now i know what's wrong with it: it's not the hull, it's the rigging. the latin sail's to big. i think that there should be several of them, two or three. i think that it would be better with two top sails as well. it somehow looks unfinished without them. of course, this is easy for me to say because i'm not doing it, but i would rather like the player's ship to be a bit better. the fleut looks absolutely amazing. that's finished, in my opinion.
 
The player ship is a normal brig. Anyway: I'm doing what I do and I'll see what I can improve once I'm done with all of them. I'm going to use a reskin of the player ship for the British ship.
 
I also did the British one now. It's the same as the player ship, but with an English flag at the stern and with a RN colour scheme. On attached picture you can see the player ship chasing the British one. Also visible are two original toyships. You can think what you want, but I am quite convinced that those toyships are truly inferior to the ones I'm making. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
 
the player ship certainly looks a LOT better from that angle. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> looks rather funny with those two version on the map. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
They look much better than mine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

And the flags are IMHO better for gameplay than emblemed sails: Not TOO easy to identify them, but you have a fair chance.
