Small Junk Tests

Phaser: 3426 Points, 5719 Polys and 9272 Verices(edges)
Thats current count, without cannons or other detail bits added. That may change again as I still am not completely happy with the hull. (Been trying to loft it properly, keep screwing it up. The current hull was made from a subdivided cylinder that I hand tweak each of the points on.)

Are you familiar with a Koei title called Uncharted Waters New Horizons ? A Brigantine would be nice ...btw that junk looks awsome...a real Brigantine with oars ...maybe even a La Real or some other Medaterainian type Galleys,,,WTH if China can get here ..why not ? Get a Japenese Tekkkousen .. A Cog... a tallette...damm I can think of a million of em...

Btw the " Pinnace " in this game is more likely an east indiaman ..a Pinnace was a small sloop like auxillery ship used by Pirates becuse it was fast as all heck and could be rowed.

Trust me, I've got huge plans for all kinds of new ships. Expecially things with proper rigging, sails and naming conventions. **grins**

I've heard of uncharted waters. Never really run across it or seen it in play.

Looking real good. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> Since this is a chinese junk, and chinese junks bore decorations on the bow and stern, will you be able to place symbolic emblems of good fortune, luck and appeasement to the gods of the sea on your junk? If so, that would really make it stand out.

Thats actually a really interesting idea there, Meigger. It would take coding in something to allow for ship improvements of that nature, and I'm figuring it would need some additional work as far as skinning to get the effect we'd be looking for. But yes, I was planning on having a proper chinese style skin for it. Very colorful and covered with interesting little details.
