Sparrow Search

Currently we are in the phase of testing Build 13 Full, not Build 14 Alpha 7. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

I <b>think</b> it was fixed in Build 13 Update 3 (AKA Build 13 Final). This is one we'll need to look out for in that phase of testing rounds. I am positive that it was fixed in the Build 14 Alpha(s).

Both characters, Beatrice and Blaze Devlin are characters ported from AOP. As such they have different animations from the POTC characters.

Specifically, they don't fall.
They don't swim, or even walk properly, they do a glide walk.
I don't think they jump down either.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Confirmed. Also, Blaze can sit, but Beatrice cannot sit. However, they can jump down. And, Blaze is slightly shorter than all the other male characters. And both are missing the "talk to" head animation. As a side note, I kind of got used to Blaze's gliding stride - which makes him faster than other characters.

The character animation problem (for Blaze, I don't know about Beatrice) was fixed in Build 14 Alpha 7 (or 7 plus). I can't recall if they have the correct head animations though.

Dialog files c. and h. for John Coxon in Pirate house on Cayman are missing in Build 13 full.exe!

The download for these files should be available in the Build 14 Alpha 7 Plus Full version thread.

The heads are still not there for the AoP characters. This is not surprising: AoP doesn't use the heads, so these characters don't have any. In Alpha 7 Plus, all AoP character have a skeleton head so that they at least do show <i>something</i> in the head box.

The dialog files for John Coxon were made long after the release of Build 13 Full. They should be included in the Build 13 update we will eventually be creating, provided that they are backwards compatible with Build 13.

I know! I came across this issue at that time also. Now I came accross the pirate house by chance and getting the old dialog error message, i just remembered the files were posted not long ago in the
Build 14 alpha 7 plus full thread. I have updated my game with these files
There are no further issues with the dialog as downloaded from Bartolomeo's attachment.
John Coxon is offering partnership and joines in a pirate corvette for prize hunting.

Updating John Coxon with the dialogs since he is to be met in the Cayman house anyway, was an easy one.

Unfortunately, during prize hunting along the coast of Cuba the game crashes at transfer from map to direct sail.
Error report and log are posted in the bug tracker.

Looks like the testing is going good so far.

Thanks to everyone for participating and keep up the great work!

Hello all !

These last days, I played Build 13 update 3 and the Build was stable. After that, I made a special version : Build 13 update 3 + new towns (re-textured towns + AOP towns Tortuga and Guadeloupe) + new ships. I played many hours and it also seems stable at the moment.

Could you upload that game version as Build 13 update, please? We could use that as base for the first real Sparrow Search testversion. Would save me or Kevin some work. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />
I've posted another crash to the bug tracker.
Regular save attempt in Tortuga port - No obvious reasons - provoked game crash - resulting subsequently in a "Bad Save" slot in the Load menu.

That is still in the testing of 13full.exe <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

Really looking forward to it!

Reason why I'm still a couple of hours away from the second base in the 13full.exe testing is that I have started as a Pirate... and your addition of the John Coxon option is a thrill as soon as the dialog is uploaded.
Thanks for the fun <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> I feel obliged!

The problem I don't have adsl connection at home. So, I can't make big uploads. But I can help you explaining the problems I found with some files (deleting the mods from some files).

Thanks <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> . For now, I'm just looking for the CTDs. As I said, my "special version" is stable. So, I think the problem must be in some mods added in Build alpha 7.

It's probably in the new features of the Alpha's (see above). Most likely not in the quests, characters, ships, items or locations. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

No, it's not. I use B13 Final and confirmed what others reported for B13 Full.
