I've read many bad words for Akella works in this forum (especially from Russian gamers) that I'm feel the need to send my own Thanks to Akella for their works <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I played with the first SeaDogs for many years, and then I'm still playing with POTC (and are nearly three years that I don't want to play to other, above all thanks to the mod <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> )

I can't wait for AOP and sure I will buy the game when will release for west market. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

For Russian friends I can understand your disappoint, It's not the best have to pay for make the Beta tester of a new game, but also I envy you <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> You always are the fist to can play new Akella games and new mod (We are still waiting for AlexB's "Sea Legend is Back" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> ).

Aye mate,as a long time player Of SeaDogs and POTC,I can say I've had many hours of enjoyment playing these games,particularily with the modded versions,I also will buy AOP as soon as it hits the shelves <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />

I played PoC for hours too, enjoyed the beautifull caribbean atmosphere, discovering the towns (and the different tavern girls), setting sails against the sunset, boarding ships (and getting me 8 Millions of Gold <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />). So if someone finds a bug or an other issue, he should report it to help developping a brilliant gaming experience instead of start to flame around.
 
I am going to purchase AoP when it arrives... I too have enjoyed PotC for many long hours... fighting the French...

SD1 and PotC there were great games. And AoP WILL great game. But in russian release number of bugs in several once more then in SD1 and PotC together.

You are mistaken, no patches will add interest and a plot in game, and maybe you one of employees PR of a department akella?

How I feel about Akella's products is best expressed in the midi file that I have in my signature. Unfortunately all optimism has ended, I waited this game since that moment as have finished SD1, PotC me have very much disappointed, and I trusted and waited, that at last there will be a worthy continuation, I trusted everything, that developers in interview spoke, I waited and hoped.. As a result of all us have deceived, yes have deceived to that in the Russian release there was no half promised +bugs. Sincerely I wish you to receive the working and interesting version of game which was tested with half of Russia, it is a pity only, that my name will not be in credits :cool:)

I'll be sure to keep in mind when I'm playing AOP that a lot of Russian Gamers made a healthy contribution to the betterment of the game, and here's a rum to you and all the other Russian Gamers. (Including the ones who work for Akella, who made the game in the first place) <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Gamer, did you ever try POTC with any of the Builds that the modders came up with? What did you think? I can pretty much assure you that if AOP doesn't quite live up to people's expectations, there are a lot of folks around here who will make a few adjustments and set the game on a tack that's more in line with some folk's likings.

I don't know where they got the idea that they could do that, just cause they pay me! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I'm going to have to ask 8Q if I can borrow his cat, the one with the machine gun, and have a chat with some of the people at my job about my duties, it's cutting into my PA time!

I have been playing <b>Корсары 3</b> [Age of Pirates] for the last month or so, and can confirm the game is FANTASTIC, 80% better than POTC even with all the audio in Russian [which the wife likes <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> - she is Russian] and having many bugs.

I'm currently playing version 1.0 as 1.1 does not support English 100%. I have asked GrayAngel if he could confirm this for me. I had to change the text [98%] from Russian to English via: Resources \ INI \ fonts.ini & Resources \ INI \ texts \ language.ini. By re-pointing "texture = fonts\interface normal fonts rus.tga", to "texture = fonts\interface normal fonts.tga". As well as changing the defaultlanguage.ini. to English

In v1.1 install I had to reset everything. Which when I'm approached for the first in game, all the dialog boxes are blank....the only way to exit the conversation is by arrow down which crashes the game. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

The graphics, game play and interface in v1.0 are far superior to POTC.

When this game does FINALLY arrive here in the UK, it will be at the top of my shopping list!!

Cheers to Akella! The only game developper that has been able to adequately quench my lust for freedom, treasure, and the high seas. I'm just not a fan of all of these RTS type games, and I really can't comment much on anything else I've played. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
