Hey, man, I don't wanna rain on your parade, just curious what kind of support over the years you're talking about. Did I miss anything? All I remember is releasing a couple of utilities by the time your community had already figured out how to do without it and that's really it. And they did it once and only because they needed someone to fix all the bugs and finish the game for them. So who actually supported who? hey sebro. who made the game all i care about is the gave us the basics. the engine! and we played around with it in our free time and had fun modding it into a MASTERPIECE! yes, i am very happy they made this and support them ever so much in futrue projects.... to bad they'er now only russian <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

LOL, or maybe I'm just being sober and you guys had too much rum lately, thanking Akella for something they never did or meant to do. =))
Anyway, that pretty much sums it up for thousands of russian fans, who bought the game. Someone peed in THEIR rum, that's for sure. They can't even play around with the engine, since there is a starforce copy protection scheme. So much for supporting modders.

No need for that, I know it's possible. But in AOP's case it's not that easy. We're talking about messing up with the engine, right? Do SH III mods include this, or do they just use modified models and textures? The engine.exe is better protected this time and so far the modes only include minor corrections in textures, open scripts, etc. Besides, I think this game needs to be redeveloped, rather than modded. But that's just me, you know what they say -- there is no such thing as an ugly woman, there can only be not enough rum. So you might like it eventually <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

For some reason, if you take Akella and the russian fans it happens every time. That's why they actually ran out of fans and have to come here every now and then for their moral medicine. It's nice to see there is still someone who likes you, even though they mistake you for someone else =) Must be doing tremendous things to their self esteem.

Aye mate,mods include some new model ships,along with retextured skins,New additional ports an Naval bases,new gauges textures,navigation tools,tons O' script mods to improve gameplay,grahics are excellent,Naval bases are a lot O' fun,some nice juicy targets,gett'n in is no prob but ye need te watch out for mines an nets,enemy destoyers an corvetts abilities have been increased,Enemy AI is uncanny, so it a real challenge te get out alive,gives a new meaning te Run Silent ,Run Deep.This is by far the best Sub sim I've played so far,jest don't like the Starforce thingy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
StarForce team are a bunch of pirates that make real pirates look bad and best of all make them f*ck up their dumb protection system. The damned "protections" f**ks your CD/DVD burners and you sware you won't buy another SF game(happens alot these last weeks).
