How far did you play the Hornblower story? What's the last you did in the story?

i completed every bit thats there, last bit fight at octopuss bay

i also checked on my normal story charecter and he wasnt there

Can you start a new game with standard/Horatio, then go straight to Tortuga to check if Gibbs is there?

OH! Of course. I forgot I only put him there if cheatmode is on. I really DID make those ships hard-to-get, didn't I?

These only work if ENABLE_CHEATMODE is on
at the bottom of PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h

Numpad 0 = Godmode
Numpad 1 = Officer 1 Fake Level-Up
Numpad 2 = Officer 2 Fake Level-Up
Numpad 3 = Officer 3 Fake Level-Up
Numpad 4 = Player Level-Up
Numpad 5 = Player Fake Level Up
Numpad 6 = + 100000 Gold and + 10000 Wealth
Numpad 7 = Cycle through reputations (increase/decrease reputation)
Numpad 9 = Trigger enemy attack (cheatmode not required)

You should be able to do this without requiring to start a new game. Just load your savegame, then visit the Tortuga tavern.

And THERE's the truth of it!
I think we should make it a bit easier to get the ships from Vanderdecken by disabling the cheatmode requirement.
After all, we added Vanderdecken in order to NOT have to keep telling people how to get those ships.
Maybe we should add a rumous to the game too, so that people can figure it out on their own.

well im going to get my ships than disable cheat mode i dont like to cheat!

although there is a bug i have with my main heratio charecter i cant die and my ship hull cant be damaged! i like it lol

Even if cheatmode is on, you're not actually cheating yet.
You only cheat if you actually US any of the cheats.

When did that immortality thing happen in the Hornblower storyline?

im not sure, but it was around the time of the volcano sinking

i never need to defend and i realised i never took hits in storms or anything
