The new Galeon

first, take the orginal texture, paste the part that was first wood over it. Then select the layer you just pasted, and click on the arrow besides the bar that says: Normal. Change that to darken, and play with the opacity 100% or 70% or 20%

..

Do you know how to make gold colour.. (not just yelow) I mean real gold?

more fancy decorations! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> like on the actual ship you based it on. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

That colour is a good colour for gold. Wood is looking good. Change the black trimmings (black lines around and in the blue part) in gold (like you did with the front) But it is becoming nice. And add more white windows as the orginal shipmodels.

ok i will.. thanks for giveing me ideas <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Here is a test of the golden side <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Is it good? or should i be more "goldie" ?? It´s hard to make black to gold.. Any tips how to make it?

(It´s just a test)[attachment=1529:GOLG_GOLD.jpg]

Is that not beige/orange ??

ok i will <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

While you are at it, get the ship in game and then take screen shots under in-game lighting.

Gm viewer is good for seeing where the textures go, but is close to useless for getting the colors right.

YOu see? I can´t make it look like gold <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> .. it´s More like yelow

Why do you want all the lines to be golden? Yellow looks fine for them, imho.

But if they have to be golden, then add some highlights (aka white spots <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> ) and dark areas (dark yellow+a slight redish touch should do the trick).

maybe you should look for 'gold leaf' on google? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

You refuse to show the model under proper lighting, so I can't tell if it's good or garbage!

kk, Where is the file (what´s the name of it?) there i can edit the ships texture files?

The file that tells what textre that the ship use?
