On the grave of -A Decrepit Farmer

There was a poor farmer Sop,
Who was a grimy old pop,
Until one day a nail,
On which he impaled,
Caused his sick heart to stop.

On the grave of -A Lost Buccaneer

Long by day and night,
There was a sailor named Dwight
Of the blackest cur he,
Until torn by Kat's glee,
So was snuffed out his light

A pirate named Darkblood was he,
Of bloodletting he took with great glee,
Of he they never did fetch

Feel free to post any poem you want here, `pirate-related` or not, or any kind of verse form you like. We tend to try to keep it in the pirate vein out of respect for the Blind Parrot, but few a side trips only makes the thread better.

Megs and I made sandcastles,
Till the Summer ran all out of sand,
And every grain has made its way,
To some other Summer land.

We spoke, or didn't, and hands gave shapes

It sounds lik' fun especially fer a pirat' game...also a game yer miht want to check out is Neverwinter Nights if yer e'er heard o' it developed by Bioware an produced by Atari...a great Dungeons an' Dragons game if e'er ther was one.

I've been chewing on what to do about Samuel Bellamy for about a week now, he's from the time period just after Captain Quelch, and this is what I have managed so far:

While advancing his "Pirate Prince" career,
Until physics', "sea laws", gave him pause.

I was looking at the Bartholomew Roberts limerick the other day and realized I meant to use "motion" in the last line instead of "action". <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

so the line might read better with,
T'was a motion deemed moot to remand.
