Unconfirmed Bug Weird Sail To's after batteling or saving at sea

I was in the middle of the Ocean, a little bit far from Saint Martin. I decided to save my game (not quick save). I went into sea mode and into my cabin and saved the saved the game. When I reloaded that save i found myself next to the island of Jamaica and plus i was in Map mode not even in my cabin. I tried saving at other "middle of the ocean" locations but the same thing happen after reloading the save. Seems like Jamaica is a magnet Island.

PS: The only time when this does not happen is saving while at a port.

There's all sorts of problems when saving at sea. So I recommend saving while on land.

1) I can save with no problems by saving in 3rd person view. The only oddity then is that the escort ships have to be ordered to protect you or they will just sit there.

2) What ships are you talking about? Some ships are fine and others can not go into a harbor without wiping out every ship there.

That Save At Sea when in your Cabin problem is confirmed. I definitely have seen that too. :yes
Also, if you have escort ships, they relations are reset to their national relations when you reload your save.
So if you fly a pirate flag, they might attack you whilst still being in your fleet.

Yes I have the same problem and there's another thing like this. Sometimes after fighting a battle I can use sail to the island Cuba even if I'm not there.

Let's say I have battling a fleet between Aruba and Curacao and if all the enemy ships are sunk I can still use sail to the island Cuba, if I'm on the world map there a land ahoy button at the left even if I'm not even close to Cuba, does anyone knows how this can happen?

And the Jamaica Magnet problem happens the same for me.

:shrug Don't use sail to.

:shrug I've always use sail to, if I play without it I'll totally lost at sea :razz

But I don't think it's supposed to happen that you can sail to Cuba if you are at sea between Aruba and Curacao or somewhere else far away from Cuba or is it?

Cuba does have a pretty huge reload radius due to its size and has been known to mess things up every once in a while.
Nothing much can be done about it though, I'm afraid. Also Aruba and Curacao are quite a long way away from Cuba.
Also you can't EVER Sail-To to another island than the one you're at. You'd have to DirectSail to the next islands before that is even possible.

Yes that's right, that's why I found it so strange I can use 'sail to' Havana and Santiago and the beaches on Cuba after winning a battle at the Dutch Antilles. I'm not close to Cuba there but I can use the 'sail to' button and go to Havana, Santiago and the beaches what can't be possible. Is this a bug of what is this? The problem is solved when you visited an other island then Cuba and go to the world map again but I don't think this supposed to happen if you aren't close to Cuba.

Can somene provide a savegame where this is the case and also for the batteling and do you have error.log files of it?

Don't have a savegame, but I can confirm that, happened sometimes to me as well, but I saved (in my cabin) (I check my crews weapons) close to an island, sailing towards a fort vs pirates battle when I reload that savegame in in 3rd person sailing mode and FAAAR away from the island (right at the boarder of land ho').
