Hey there nasty ol' scurveys <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

Is there any way possible to re-play you're game after beating the black pearl? any mod or patch available for this perhaps?

I know it's a n00b question but hell I need to know <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Thx in advance <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />

The Build will allow you to play on after the story ended. Although all quests from the main story won't be available again, there are tons of random quests you can do, along with any other adventures the game allows you to do (smuggling, plundering all forts, etc).

Hope that helps <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

That will do <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> already downed the full install, let's see if it works <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Just remember to check the path to where you unzip it - the default path with the install is in error. It says <b>Bethesda</b> rather than <b>Bethesda Softworks</b>. If you do install it, you can easily move it over to your PotC folder - or reinstall with the correct path. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Already noticed that error.....I'm wondering in which state of mind he would have been when my fellow-countryman made that direction <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

What to do after you complete the main quest? Well, all the side quests you didnt do, untill you reach 1700 when you die of old age, but nobody has ever played that far, I think. A thing is, what do you do when you complete all the main and side quests, theres the rub.

Well, that isn't a problem.....I let all those enemy ships sink to the bottom of the ocean till I grow old and considering to buy meself 2 wooden legs. On top of that a sea burial and my life is perfect <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

heheh. Well, I think that we should make another "Main Quest" after the sinking of the BP. Because once you've done everything, it becomes too much like real life - a bit boring because you have no sence of perpose. I genarally do quests very quckly, and do everything I can on one island, and then sail to wherever I need to go and do everything there. Well, then I guess thats the time to start over, but I dont want to do that just yet.

It´s true, there´s not much to be done after the main quest in the way of another big quest. I toyed around with the idea of making a quest that can be played only after the main quest is finished, but that´s (building a quest) is a hell lot of work and right now, I´m pretty frustrated with the code.

Its a pity really. I want something else to do. Ill just be patient, and hope for the best outcome. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I've got ideas but they hinge upon the new trading interface and the new locations, so are on the back burner for now. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Well we will have to take them to the front burner! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Not until all the other things are done for B13, I'm afraid. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> Yes, try the <a href="http://robotsdontbleed.com/wacko/wakka.php?wakka=POTCwiki" target="_blank">PotC Wiki.</a> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

... and learn how to drink. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />
It won't help your modding skills, but it will keep you from hurting yourself. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

True. A helmet also helps. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Part of the 'getting bored' problem is that you have to initiate things to make something happen. (visiting & talking to ppl mostly)

That's not how real life works - most interesting things can happen just out of the blue, you just need to keep your eyes open. One way this could work would be to let the game just take you out of your usual routine and throw you on some island - along with a message: '<i>You were abducted during the night, but somehow got away. You kept hiding until the first rays of light and now you have no idea where you are actually.</i>'

Although i would like to see something like this in the next build, i do realize it would be:

- bloody hard to find a random system that isn't getting old after a day
- bloody hard to code & test a controllable random system
