Solved Win 7 POTC Build 14 light 2.3 new game crash

Hello everyone, as the Titel says i have a problem with the mod when im stareting a new Game it shows a blackscreen for a slow duration (0.0001 sec) of time and then it switches to the main menu..when i close the Menu there is the Black Hole of destruction (better known as Blackscreen) and i can do Nothing. except that i can hear some sounds and load the menus (F2,F3).

I tried everything trust me EVERYTHING to make that thing work but it still dont work. I have read the FAQ and tried the Microsoft Blah Manager but in the List there is no POTC. Have installed it in a seperated folder cause im a win 7 user. Having no intel card...What the heck im doing wrong ???

computer specs:

Intel quad core i5 2.67
Nvidia GTX 260
6 GB Ram

Win 7 64-bit
 
Have you tried Error Logging as per the FAQ? If Build 14 Beta 2.3 is installed correctly, it should already be enabled.
Post your log files here and hopefully that will give us a clue on what is going on.
 
There are some tricks that usually work when that happens.
1. If you can get to the main menu set all of the options first.
2. In your POTC folder open the config.exe, untick safe mode, and make sure the resolution is set to 32 bit. Then open the engine.ini in notepad and set your screen resolution.

Those errors don't look familiar to me at the moment. Strange though.

Do you have a system.log and compile.log as well? Maybe those have some more clues. :modding

Damn; not what I hoped for.

Can you install the game without modpacks and just check that does run?
And just to make absolutely certain, you installed Build 14 Beta 2.1 Full first and then Build 14 Beta 2.3 Light on top?
 
The Game alone works fine and smoothly (without the modpacks) and for the installation:

I have installed it in this row
Build14 Beta 2.1
build 14 beta 2.3 on top.

I guess my PC just hates me.....
 
Try doing a test-run between each installation step. For example, check if Build 14 Beta 2.1 Full does work properly.
There is no reason why the unmodded game would work, but the modpack wouldn't.
There are things that are known to go wrong at times, but we covered all that we uncovered so far in the FAQ already. :facepalm
 
I have no Idea what i have done but after I throwed ma PC out of the Window, nailed it onto a cross and Burned it on a funeral pyre.... It Works . No Blackscreen. All Works fine and runs smoothly..

I assume it was a problem withh my install directory..First I installed it (like described in the FAQ in a different path as the Main Game) now i just dragged the Main Game onto the Desktop..Raged the Blitzkrieg over it(Installed the Mod) and now it works fine...

Well I thank you anyway for the great help and immediate support.
