As far as i know there is only one character that starts with a class 4 ship and thats Davy Jones and his ship the Cursed Dutchmen. All other characters who start with ships will start with class 5 ships at most normal characters who haven't been given a starting ship and the game generates one for them will start with at highest a class 5 ship but the chances for starting with a class 5 ship are very slim. :onya
 
The only people who start with a unique ship in CMv3 are:

Jack Sparrow:Black Pearl
Davy Jones:Flying Dutchman
Jack Aubrey:Sophie
James Norrington:Interceptor

Because the Pearl and the Dutchman are class five ships I believe, Jack and Davy will have stat penalties when commanding these ships. Expect a harder game using these characters until you level up sufficiently. To compensate, they have been given more starting money than other hero's.
 
He is, he wasn't present in CMv2 AFIK.

Him and Aubrey are unique in that they have uniforms which you can change into. These uniforms are hard to find but not impossible to locate; the reason for this is that you get status boosts from them.

It goes from the default look, privateer uniform, captain's uniform and admiral uniform. The status boosts and what they look like I'll let you guys find out for yourselves. :dance

We have a page on ModDB, but it's been in neglect, once CMv3 is released we'll update the page accordingly.
 
Well, one of the female characters bio states she stayed in the Caribbean after the events of the last movie. If we take this into account then Jack would have the Pearl, Norrington and Jones would be dead and Turner would have the Dutchman.

But, if there is a popular request to give jack a tartane at the start, so it will be done in future patch :razz

We also have a unique first officer and a bosun in the mod but they currently aren't available. The idea behind them is use code similar to the code in the blood quest and have them automatically assign them to a particular hero as officers. I won't reveal the identity of these two men though, if you are savy enough, you can find them on your own hidden amongst the files, among other surprises. Or you could just read the Read me. ;)

Actually, Jack should start with Tartane with about 1% of hull and should steal Interceptor after it sinks :sail
 
I've been looking at some charatcers, i have put Pitt with the Colonial Schooner as his starting ship. I want one of the character's to be a difficult start where you have a Gun Boat and next to no money. :will

An excellent idea...I like bringing a character from next to nothing to absolute ownage!

Where our mod? Pretty demanding for someone who's only been here for 3-4 days....

Yer just gonna have to wait like the rest of us. Some people here have jobs, and other responsibilites...

Be patient, your demands will not make the mod show up any faster
 
The number one rule on a fan based forum is never demand a mod, it will be released when it is released!

I planned on releasing Patch 1 late march but was held up till a couple of weeks ago for the Build Mod because of uni work

Oh plus multiple time zones, it is still April in like half of the world :yes

An excellent idea...I like bringing a character from next to nothing to absolute ownage!

I can confirm starting with Alexander who has the Gunboat and playing as the pirate nation on commadore is almost impossible. As any other nation you would find it easier since you have the option to trade but with the pirate nation its not so easy. Your best bet is finding and boarding a Bermuda Sloop, selling the Gunboat if you have a officer to sail it and sell all cargo from both ships along with the guns off the Gunboat. Hire as many crew as your ship can hold and search for a Lugger. Slowly working your way up. You'll need to have at least double the boarding crew of any ship you wish to board because one hit and you can be killed with the heavy attack, and the same with a shot from a pistal. :shock :modding
