    probably because i'm an idiot only now i realized that i'm not supposed to extract the files, but that the installer needs the ZIPPED data. seriously guys, it's so easy to install that mod, some people just can't handle it.

    oooh darn :D so look, i tried that out too and it didnt affect the graphics at all. switching to 16 bit only caused additional malfunktions such as the intro being only blackscreen+sound but simply executing the game as an admin solved the problem... thanks for all of your help anyway. edit...
