It was a long time ago, very long, I used to go by "Pulaski" back then. you made a comment about my name. we used to play online with Tony Saunders. and many of the Sea Lords..

it was through gamespy. sometime there where private games <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> that went all hours of the night. And if I recall correctly the comment was" Cool name! something to the matter of 'He was a great Patriot. I really don't expect you to recall everyone you have battled. Just that your name was unique, And it cool to meet again a comrade from past battles.
 
Okay, guys, I´ve got some good news and some bad news, as usual bad news first:

Today I ´ve been informed that my ISP didn´t get the letter I send them 4 weeks ago, so I´ll be without internet and connection to the civilized world at my new home for at least 2-3 weeks. That means no updates or progress reports (and no chats with Inzane till 4 am in the morning <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ).

Good news is that I won´t be distracted by my Dawn of War online addiction, get more sleep and thus be able to finish the Boston sooner than I expected, she should ready to be implemented by the time when I get online again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Sure Im coming back, there aren´t that many safe harbours for pirates out there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
And if Im really lucky i can convince a friend of mine -whos really good at C/C++- to continue my work on the realistic economy while Im away, so I can tackle the next ship ( prolly an english/american 36 gun frigate, built around 1790) right after the boston is finished.

As for double-posting: WHO CARES? There's been many months between both posts. Sometimes I double-post within a few minutes. Though with my moderating powers, I then usually merge my second post with the first. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
Ooooookayyyy, it took a "bit" longer than 1 month, but real life was a bitch in 2008 (moved twice, new girlfriend, new job ), almost not sparetime, which led to a self-imposed gaming/modding break. I´m really sorry if I disappointed you guys.


Small heads-up on my lil´ frigate: work is continuing, but veeerrrrry slowly <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
I´m really lucky if I have half an hour per day to get her done, so don´t expect something before next summer <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

BTW: You'll be pleased to know that ZarethPL has figured out how to use Maya properly and even to fix the reverse lighting bug on some of our newer ship models!

The masts and ropes are from the PotBS custom ships pack and can´t be used for any other games/mods (copyright yadadadada) IIRC so I had to make my own. And making/texturing/placing approx. 300 ropes takes its time... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I hope the ship will be also availeble with the bowsprit showen in those older constructionpics?
 
You mean with the brown/yellow textures?
The pic I posted above was done before I made them, thats why the bowsprit is untextured.
