An ambitious project

The problem is more likely to be in the ship GM file itself though. Sometimes you get the beeping problem even if you just save a certain ship file. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
I am really sure! the problem is the first gen Steering Wheel Collision data.
nothing else would change, he add the wheel and the model beeps.
some PotC models beep with this wheel the AoP and VCO models doesnt beep.

But I was thinking maybe I did something wrong when I added these objects to the deck. Could you give me all the procedure to add an object to check if I forgot to do something.
Indeed, today I made a new model without your first wheel and I had this beep... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
1. put the details in the Folder: C:/ program/ modding/ tool/ meshes
2. open tool and load your ship model
3. click edit scene
4. add the details you want
5. delete the ship model and locators
6. save it as "deck" for example
7. load your ship model again
8. open locators and add the following : deck-geometry-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-1-1-0
9. save the ship model
10. enjoy

can you open the caravel2 model with the tool? i cant!

and why have the caravel so much sails?? I´ve a nice idea for an unique Caravel... ... ahh unique ship!

thats my idea! more historical and a Unique in this game and the Santiago is special or not? (rigging is not finish)

yes! that's what i was looking for! fully historically accurate rigging. that one's perfect for the first period. you might want to try to replace the main masts' sails with a lateen for a second caravel type, like on the french caravels. it looks odd, i admit, but that one also excisted.

Yeah, I can and i will do <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> . Let me finish the Caravel first, then I make a Caravel with three Lateens and then comes the brig in my Shipyard.

One question:

are in PotC 2 kind of ropes or only in AoP?? so i must do 2 types of rigging for the 2 games!
 
PotC doesn't have sagging ropes. i think you'll have to modify them then. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

You have to change on Storm 2.8
 
by the way, i like the pole at the back. i've seen it a lot on real ships, but never on a model for the game.

it's a really sluggish ship, actually. whatever you do to the rigging, caravels will always be bathtubs, though maybe slightly less.
 
I like the new model but you are using the old skin <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> . Seeing that, i didn't know you are working in this new model, I succeeded in adding the objects to the old "Santiago" without the Beeping (model in my folder). Anyway, if you could put some objects in your new "Santiago" like wheel, bell and lilgun and MORE it would be GREAT.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
