An ambitious project

LOL. I wasn't suggesting a rewrite. I was suggesting an alternate version. But it was just a random thought that occurred to me. DON'T do it if you don't want to. And DON'T kill yourself! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

About the fast caravel, I've changed the rear mast and increased the refShip.TurnRate from 32 to 36. Just need to add the new texture made by Thomas The Terror.(new model in my folder.) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

that ship is pretty impossible. at least, it never excisted. that's a 1500's ship with a 1700's or 1800's rigging.

And the Flying Dutchman has existed for instance ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> . I understand your point of view but the main quest takes place in 1660. So, we could make a "modern" caravel.

Thanks Thomas the Terror for the texture. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

Thanks a lot for posting those screenshots, Bartolomeu. I hadn't actually looked at that texture ingame yet. Looks really good. More colourful than the original, but still keeping the red colour scheme and the eyes on the bow.

but the dutchman is at least a proper ship type, though kinda rotten and magically enhanced. they really didn't use a gaff for that purpose in that time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> at all. that was only until a century later. it's impossible. i wouldn't really mind if it's stated in the game that this is a special invention from the captain himself though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> otherwise it would just bother me.

I have an update for the 'Santiago' deck. I found how to add some little things. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Don't be bothered Morgan Terror. How is it possible not to like the "Santiago" ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> (I'm jocking)

sorry to keep complaining like this, but the wheel is in the wrong place. it's supposed to be one deck lower.

I forgot to tell it in my previous message but you're right I will use this modification in the story. About, the wheel, that's exact. I will change the place. Anyway, it seems this new deck causes a bug for me. Could anyone confirm the bug ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

What bug?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
here are the new deck and my system log file.

for the modification in the story, the information that that sail was used mainly on sloops in that time might help. thanks for changing!

But what bug? Do you get a beep when loading the ship or something like that?

YYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch. That is something that seems to happen when editing certain ship models with the tool. I don't think anybody managed to fix that. Though I recall that KevinAtlanta did manage to modify those ships without getting the beep. But he is not here anymore. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Ok, we will use the "normal" deck until KevinAtlanta comes back or anyone else finds a solution. It would be interesting when someone finds things like that to add the solution in the Modding POTC Topic. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Send a PM to <i>yo ho ho</i>. If someone right now knows how to handle that, he does. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I'm going to do this <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
