Mate when you board a ship you are always faced fowards to the people you are fighting.
There is only 1 guy, others are fighting others. guy is in front of me and he kills me. I have bout 50% block chance, though my sword has 93%. He also takes away more than half my life in 1 strike. He has 500 life, I strike him for bout over 50.

That happens to me too. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Even if I'm at apprentice.
 
What happens to you?
Anyway, I thought that putting it to a higher difficulty would make me use more skills and be beter at the game ... but making my oppenents virtually invincible really isn't my kind of fun <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Anyway, is this normal?
 
That all the enemies got about 500 lifes and kills me if they hit me three times. I got 10 skills in fighting and 10 in defense.

Cat - sure, says in post one of the biggest problems is they can break all my blocks (basically the thread of all my posts) even though I have a 93% block sword and abilities maxed <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Really getting silly with 900 vs 100 crew <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

oh yeah bout the armor, I used it in previous builds, but there seems to be no armor in what I play now.... perhaps a BS.c switch?
 
I guess that ship muct be crewed by men of the Corps, that would explain their stubborn clench on life

Did you buy an armored skin for one of your officers or yourself, NHacker? I told Nathan I thought there was a bug somewhere in that system - in B12 you can buy armor at the tailor shops if you purchase any skin - military Spanish, Dutch, & Portuguese - that has VISIBLE armor. It offers you some protection, but I think it screws something up, because even when you're not wearing it, you get a message that the armor is being defeated or has defended you - and the block seemed nil...

Maybe that could be the problem?

I also had this at lowest difficulty, I was fighting 1 person and I blocked and yet he takes away half of my live in 1 hit. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Well things got a little better, now I can defend a few of their strikes...
Like 2/3, though they still kill me in 3 hits.
And most of the times I get to face 6 crewmen on my own, my own crewman get slained right away.
O and Cat, I never used any armor, I only have used the "depp" skin.

NHacker, the only other thing I can think of that would skew a battle like that is your crew's morale.

If it is too low, cannon reload will be slower, accuracy will be off, and at boarding, they will be weak fighters and few in number, even if your crew actually outnumber the enemy.

Ive had the same little bug. Excellent Solingen Rapiers have 98% block, and most of the time Im killed in 1 hit by guys with average sabers. My crew had heroic morale, and these pirates were slaughtering them - and me! It does get annoying that 1 hit kills come into the game, and your still blocking with 98% on that stat. I had every ability, and 10 in every skill, level 63, and a the best sword for block before the build (this example was before the build too) and on a battleship boarding a class 3 trading ship, I was killed in 1 hit. This still happens with the build on. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> The main problem, though, is your officers. I was at low health fighting one of those invincible highwaymen in the jungles, and I was just about to defeat him when he scored a critical on me when I was blocking. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> I was still barely alive, and I tried useing dodge, sidestep, anything like that, but guess who got in my way, stopped me moving and pushed me closer to mr Invincible? Interesting, this never happens to me. I always fire my pistol right after I see the boarding screen, so I get a time advantage, deal about 100-120 dmg with 2 blows and block. They ALWAYS penetrate my block! even on easy level, which Im forced to resort to most of the time! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
