ive signed up twice and not recieved any email for confirmations either.

possible some meet some auto qualification with their system specs
 
From what I am reading, it sounds like you will get choosen or your app will sit until you are choosen. The big question is when are the going to choose, and how will the choose. I for one, am looking forward to getting my acceptance `e-mail`. It has been a long week (as I am sure it has for the rest of the group), the ability to at least look at the game this weekend would make me very happy. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> I hope they start looking tomorrow. If this happens, I think I got my app in first so I will know ya or na. If I do get something this will be the first place I leave something. I did get an `e-mail` back with a username and password. Yet, my application still says review.

Well, I guess you either got a beta app, or nothing at all. I have not received any emails from them at all, nor have I seen a place to enter my system specs or beta testing experience. I assume there are others in the same boat, if not, please enlighten me. I'd hate to miss the boat.... er sloop... er ship.
 
Well when I use my user name and password to login to www.betatests.net it says "My test requests" and has Pirates! under there.

Yes, everyone that signs up gets a beta site login. If you read the site faq it says that you will only be informed if you are chosen. They will not inform you if you are not selceted as they do not have time. If you are selected you will receive an email and your status on the site wil change to selected. If you are not selected your status will remain as pending until the beta test is over.
 
Yeah, I have only one question. When you go to Atari's site, and you click on "My Profile," do you have to fill in your system specs again? I was asking because all the system specs are blank for me although I did fill them you when I signed up.

[EDIT] Never mind, I updated the profile automatically with the "DXDIAG" thing...

Waiting for the beta is liking waiting for the newsletter. Everything should change, but yet you are still in the same boat as before, that sucks. At least the boat has started to leave port! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" /> I am wondering when they will start the selection process for the beta? I know someone is looking at the boards, so please tell us. That would so put my mind at rest. And I think so as well, they took only the system specs they wanted.
 
You're right Civrules. In my profile there also weren't any system specs I gave during registration.
But over the weekend my main Computer broke. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
So I have to use my second one. He's not so fast but still hits the Pirates! System Specs. I also used the dxdiag thing!
So people look at your profile. I'm not sure you'll get chosen if you don't update it.

Any news from Atari why some didn't receive a confrimation?
 
There are some fields that I dont know what they mean.


Page file used? (MB)
Page Fiel available? (MB)
Build Delivery Method? (FTP/MAIL)

I also dont know which bios I have and not the name of my system. I think there are no name cause I built it myself.

I hope those things doesnt ruin my chances to get chosen.
 
I'm not sure about the first two (I'll check later), but the third is how you would like to reveive your beta. But I'm not sure about it. I doubt that. Well I have chosen ftp, just in case. Some clearup on this would be great.

Use the dxdiag and it will automatically find out your bios version.

Maybe it is how you'd like to get the game? DL or Mail?
