ok I'll explain if you understand the FORMAT of the sails is not like the movie, the one that looks like the movie is to stay on top of the rudder but the rest of the pearl is not equal to the film. the sails and the mast 2 of 3 are not equal because of the movie I think I've watched Pirates of the Caribbean 50 times, so I know what I'm talking about, and I'm not talking about the colors of the sails, but the FORMAT some are very large and some are very small, a version which I found very similar to the movie was this:

which was made by ZarethPL but he missed the release.

I see what you're on about. It is possible to change the rigging of the current Pearl, but we need someone willing to do that, AND some decent references to help with it. :facepalm
If you visit the Storm Engine Modelling forum, you could post a request there...

but then comes the problem that already looked at this forum but could not convert to. GM
 
I know, that's a tricky business unless you're an experienced modeller.

There is an alternative. You said that you preferred the Build 13 Pearl rigging, right?
That can be merged with the Build 14 hull to make an all round better model, without any Maya exporting business at all.
If you want, I can have a look at that for something to add to the next ship pack. :yes
 
now you understand, is exactly what I'm talking about, watch this video and you will see that all the sails are perfect least over the helm, if you made a version with the textures of the black pearl of new horizons and the masts and sails this video would be perfect. :onya

That is a very good idea, and I do agree with you about the sail format, but you could have been more clear that that was what you meant by the current Pearl isn't as good as the old one. The sails and the ship itself are two totally different things as the ship (the hull) looks exactly the same. Also, just so we are clear (I don't mean to sound harsh or anything as I don't want to offend anyone, you especially as you are new matey) there is a difference between modelers and coders. I'm saying this because you were directing that cool Black Pearl idea you had to Maggee who is a coder. A coder is someone who creates the storylines and the mods themselves (that you play in the game) while modelers work on tweaking the game's graphics, designing new characters and ships, and making new locations (all that stuff that you actually see in the game)

You my friend seem interested in modding (the modeling portion of it at least) so I suggest you learn some simple modeling techniques and add them to the build. We could always use extra hands here mate, unlike most ships, this crew size has no limit. A wise modder from another website I used to go on (stay away from Lucas Forums in which I am referring to as the moderators there are corrupt and annoying) once told me that if you want something done you should do it yourself which is not only good advise for modding, but for many other things in life too. Well, welcome aboard the Pirates Ahoy (website), Mr. Wolf!

Peter Blood you're a good man, I was able to model my own pearl, I managed to tweak some things like the sails, but I'm having a big problem in time to convert my pearl for the game, I need help. :?
 
I've posted a few threads on the black pearl, but finally I managed to create my version, I wish that all modellers piratesahoy take a look and speak your opinion, but I'm perfecting version.

That is pretty cool man! you should post the file in an attachment so I can download it. The only thing is that it is rather small. Maybe its just me, but it just seems a little smaller (hull) than the real one. The sails are perfect though.
 
Actually, I'm not a modeler, but a coder (I'm working on a storyline about a SPanish conquistidor) but you could talk to some of the modelers over in the storm modeling forum.

The least Pearl model made by Kazeite is already in new horizons ,and i didnt do any pearl models i just helped place some locators,and export it in game.
It should be also in AOP2 since i made it work i both games
 
Peter Blood please talk with modelers to do what I asked because I only can model the black pearl and I can only use the old textures :onya

Why don't you get hold of them yourself? I'll check and see which of the modelers is most active and you can PM him.

I'm talking to you talk to any modeler for example if you could talk to the Kazeite to the version that I thought the pearl.
