Solved Black screen when starting new game

Hello Pirates

It is my first post on this forum so i would like to say Hello to all :gday

i have got a problem with build 13 and i hope You can help me with it.
So i installed Potc and it works properly, than i installed build 13. The game starts properly, i choose new game, than my character and ship. After clicking "New game" it is loading a bit, and after that i see Black Screen :shock
I see all options under f1 and f2.

Build 13? :nerbz Have you set your screen resolution in "engine.ini"? Have you set your options in "buildsettings.h"? Have you run "runme.bat"? Checking these things is a start.
 
I've got the same problem but with build 14. I tried everything I've found in the Internet but unluckily nothing helped me. Btw. I can't find any runme.bat file anywhere. Game launchs normally, but when I start a new game and create profile loads a while and turns black. So can You help me with this?

It is referring to stock game code. Did you install to Program Files? If not, reinstall to, say, C:\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean or such.
 
Recommend trying a different folder (see above).
Windows security might be preventing the modpack from overwriting old game files. :modding
 
You can try to move the whole folder, then reinstall the modpack.
Alternatively, do the entire installation in the other folder.
 
As I supposed the black screen was still there. First I must make some space on my drive and backup other files to install it again, but I'll do it tomorrow. Thanks for Your time btw :)
 
Is this a laptop or desktop computer? What sort of graphics card does it have, and have you installed an up to date driver for the graphics card?
 
Ok, that is an all AMD laptop. No intel!

Move the POTC folder out of program files.

Then look in engine.ini and set the screen resolution. You can also set it to windowed mode there.

Which version of Beta 2 are you using?
 
I moved i out of the program files, set the screen resolution and version of exe says it's 1.0.0.1 (I wish that's beta 2 ver.). But nothing has changed
