Simply delete it from your directory and it will be gone again...

PotC/RESOURCE/VIDEOS/Invasion.wmv

I renamed mine, just in case I ever get crazy enough to take a look at it again. :d:

<!--`QuoteBegin-NathanKell`+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NathanKell)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Hate to be a broken record, but there's naught I can do without the logs...[/quote]

that waz a main issue ,.... I could NOT get a decent log out of the game...
first it erased all contains of those 2 files, then it gave only the short version I put up earlier.....

BTW. could that problem be caused by the potc installation, I have 2 cd sets.
A american and a eur. version.
and I dont recall which version I installed the build, and if I installed the EUR and localized version, on the american version ?

I start to believe so ........

Wow, yes, that could make a difference, JSJ - perhaps you should do a clean install (uninstall and get rid of everything and start over) with files you know are compatible, that will help settle things down! Then if you still get problems, you'll get an error log that makes sense! :d: :d:

If your luck skill is up to 10 .. and also your other stat's etc with let's say a rank of... 20, and then during a battle when you lost your ship. you'll always survirve and escape with the tartane :D but the bug is.. when your tartane is sinkin'you'll get another one.. over and over again :cheers I mean.. where does the tartane left it :) such a small boat wid 999999 boats on it as his same size xD:

fix this please :) :cheeky

:) WOW! :cheers I've never had that happen to me, but I usually don't allow myself to lose my ship - I always restart and go back to a previous save.

Sounds like some kind of loop. Did you get an error log?

i experianced a bug... you know the silvery cross u get? from the monk

i got it with 110 health then it increased by 110 because its double health cross but then when i returned the cross i had only maximum 7 health left!

Passenger assignment issue

First off, great mod, nicely dedisnified. My problem is that I can't seem to reassign an officer after using him to captain a prize ship. I tried both selling the ship with him in it, and using the remove captain command within the shipyard menu. Either way when I try and make him an active officer again I get a "cannot change ship" method, even though the ship no longer belongs to me, and he's not on it. No crashes involved, but very annoying.

One more question, is it possible to turn off the crew rations mod? I went into buildsettings.H and set #define FOOD_ON to 0, but it the crew still consumes food.

Cheers

Grr, never mind, it wasn't a bug, just my unfamiliarity with the UI. Figured out the second part too, i was modifying buildsettings.h_en not buildsettings.H. cheers

to PMT :

but this time there waz no CTD, or bugs in it

Grr, new problem, don't think this one is due to my incompetence. My reputation took a nosedive for no apparent reason, all of a sudden I'm the horror of the high seas. I blew 700k in the church trying to salvage it, and got nowhere. The only mod I'm running is the full build 11, so I think the answer must be in there somewhere. Is this a known bug, and is there a way to fix reputation within the build? Please help

:cheers Smuggler Joe, and welcome aboard! Pull up a keg, have a seat, and have a couple on us! :cheers

This is a known bug, your rep problem... It's happened to a lot of us for no apparent reason. I think there has been some work to try to seek out the source of the problem but so far there has been no solution.

Best idea for gaining your rep back - go into the jungle and find a reload portal (reloads one area to another) near where some rapers are being spawned. Save the girl, go through the portal and back again, and if you continue to do this, more rapers will spawn and you can save the girl again and again until your rep is back up to normal.

This takes a bit of time and patience but it's cheaper (and makes you money!) than the church, at which I am told MAY take up to 5MIL to fix your rep... (yeesh!)

Did you ever get the officer problem solved? That could be a corrupted save, happens...

Try hitting the "T" button before you board your ship - that may clean some things up.

Hope this helps! :yes Again, welcome aboard, and I hope we see you in these fair waters often! :gday

Thanks for the welcome Catalina. I will go put the boots to some rapists, that sure beats bankrolling the church. I did get the officer thing fixed, it was just me not understanding the interface. I played the XBOX version when it first came out, and just got the PC version a few days ago, so there are a few things I think I know that I don't know that confuse me, if that makes any sense. Anyways, cheers.

Ah good, I am glad you got that straightened out.

Now don't be shy, if you need any more assistance, just do a search here - or ask - and we'll be glad to help. :cheers :gday

Problem: Boatswain's calls seem backwards tew ol' Fred Bob!

Examples:
1) When ye leave de dock tew go tew yer ship, de Boatswain cries out, "Strike 'em down! Aye, aye!" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

2) When ye leave yer ship tew go tew de dock (moorin'), de Boatswain cries out, "Make sail! Aye, aye!" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Solution: Mebbe leave these calls out from moorin' (an' unmoorin')altogether an' use dem jus' fer when de user actually raises or lowers de sails.

Fred Bob:
That's because of the way I implented those sounds I'm afraid.
Every second (or thereabouts) POTC goes through each character (and thus each ship) at sea and updates parameters (max speed, max turnrate, storm damage, etc).
The way the mod works is the player's sail state is checked each second. Then, the player's sail state from the _last_ second is read. If the new state > old one, play add sail. If <, play strike down.

So when you reload to your ship, your sails default to all stricken. However, probably when you anchored they were at battle or full. Thus current < stored, thus play "strike 'em down."

So what I need to add is a check to see if the player just reloaded.
