My Santo Domingo went weird and i can walk through buildings <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Buggy Buildset!!!!!!!!!!!
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Hey, the Buildingset has become our mutual obsession, right <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Just to clarify that: *I* did NOT place any walkthrough buildings anywhere. I provided that mod as a tool for those who like to create their own locations, and made examples on Oxbay, Antigua and St Martin. Those may look odd, but at least they fit into the walkpatch.
If there are walkthrough buildings elsewhere they were placed by other people, so blame them and not poor innocent little Buildingset <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Or would you call Inez Tool or Maya "Buggy !!!!!!!!!!" because someone made an ugly model with them ??????

And the mess with the Building dialogs we had last year was caused by the translationmod. Believe me, I have had much more trouble with the unlucky Buildingset than you <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Cursed be the day that I published it !!!!!!!!

I think I am able to do that, just tell me what files to edit and i'll work it out from there.

Sometimes a transition between different modes IE: Ship Battle - Port - Deck ECT
Causes an Engine.exe error.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I don't know why but with "USE REAL CANNON" mod enable these CTD are expired.

To CCC: Bless the day you published it! I love it! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

I have a noobish question... I understand the relations part of the game but cant explain why i'm unable to trade or repair my ship in any British port anymore? I was happily climbing the naval ladder, sinking or taking prizes and had just aquired my first xebec, but I'm no longer tolerated? any takers?

that proves you have been slightly too long on this forum already. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> well, welcome to the club i'd say!

i've seen that happen before. have you been in an english fort or something?

well, then i've still seen it happen before. and as before, the cause is unknown. i really don't know what to do about this. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

At risk of sounding like a complete idiot, how do I do that? do you mean the bug tracker? not sure how to do that if thats what you mean.

uh, yes, you did. try checking if you did something you did the first time as well when the bug appeared/appears. it's called common sense. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> i don't blaim you though. not at all. there seems to be a severe lack of it over here, so it's not at all surprising that you are influenced by it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> pieter just more-or-less keeps this rabble together with his fresh supply of it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

I've noticed the same problem too.

Workaround:
change flag from english to your or viceversa and trade and repair work again <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Hmm you amuse me with your wit sir, nay, indeed I am rolling about my cabin as I write.

As I said, the 'only' thing I did was to accept a job to sink a dutch ship, then return to collect the prize money. Nothing more nothing less. Surely my reputation shouldnt be effected negatively in a brit port after that? I assume its just a 'bug' and and my decision to ask for help or explanation here does not reflect on my abbility to use my 'commom sense'

Thanks giuliootto, I'll try that later <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

it does seem to effect your spelling though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> rolling about your cabin? i told you you shouldn't use a desk-chair with wheels on a ship! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

are the dutch at war with the english? i'd think so, but if they're not, then it might explain it. anyway, if there's a workaround, then use it i'd say!

<!--quoteo(post=185355:date=Mar 11 2007, 03:21 AM:name=Joseph Brain)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Joseph Brain @ Mar 11 2007, 03:21 AM) [snapback]185355[/snapback]</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Oh, yea, I forgot to mention the one bug I do find annoying. Everytime I load a new area (from town to tavern, for example) the gun reload bar clears and begins to fill back up as if I had fired my weapon. This kills getting off any first shot in boardings especially, since it loads and I have to wait 25+ seconds for the bar to reload to shoot.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I am 90% sure that this will fix the gun reload problem at scene changes on non-AMMOMOD weapons.

Open file <b>Characters\CharacterUtilite.c</b> in your text editor.

Look for this text (at approximately line 3348).
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->if(CheckAttribute(arItm,"chargespeed") && stf(arItm.chargespeed)>0.0)
//MAXIMUS: if character has less charges than his gun needs - he need less time for loading his gun [gun always will be unloaded without charges] -->
{    float curSpeed = RecalcCharacterGun(chref, true);
    if(curSpeed<=0.0) { LAi_GunSetUnload(chref); }
    else { LAi_GunSetChargeSpeed(chref,1.0/curSpeed); }
//MAXIMUS: if character has less charges than his gun needs - he need less time for loading his gun [gun always will be unloaded without charges] --><!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

To revert to previous functionality, replace it with this. This is what I use.
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->if(CheckAttribute(arItm,"chargespeed") && stf(arItm.chargespeed)>0.0)
{    LAi_GunSetChargeSpeed(chref,1.0/stf(arItm.chargespeed));<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

Replace it with this to retain functionality for AMMOMOD and allow non-AMMOMOD guns to be loaded at scene changes. I am not 100% certain that this will work, would someone please check my syntax?
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->if(CheckAttribute(arItm,"chargespeed") && stf(arItm.chargespeed)>0.0)
//MAXIMUS: if character has less charges than his gun needs - he need less time for loading his gun [gun always will be unloaded without charges] -->

if(ENABLE_AMMOMOD==1)
    {    float curSpeed = RecalcCharacterGun(chref, true);
        if(curSpeed<=0.0) { LAi_GunSetUnload(chref); }
        else { LAi_GunSetChargeSpeed(chref,1.0/curSpeed); }
else
{    LAi_GunSetChargeSpeed(chref,1.0/stf(arItm.chargespeed));

        //MAXIMUS: if character has less charges than his gun needs - he need less time for loading his gun [gun always will be unloaded without charges] --><!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
