Build 14 Alpha 9

And I've got some good news! I think I just "fixed" the Greenford/Bridgetown colony capture problem!
Thomas the Terror once made the boarding locator files for the stock game towns, but it turns out the Greenford one wasn't included in the modpack.
So that one's DEFINITLY going in Alpha 9.5! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Of course I have been unable to test this, so somebody please try a Colony Capture on Greenford once Alpha 9.5 is released.
Of all the towns to capture, Greenford/Bridgetown is actually the MOST important, since you need to attack the fort during the standard storyline.
So hopefully that will now work. Provided people can actually <i>reach</i> that point in the quest. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I know you are really busy right know with 9.5. but I want to let you know the smugglers in the added real island are still sending me to "error" with the patch 4 and the fix and I have not been able to locate the thing Hook did to fix it. If you can, let me know where to find it and remind someone that we need to get the fix in one of the updates.
 
AGH! It appears that it was the TOWN one that was different, not the PORT one. So it's probably NOT fixed. DAMN! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
But... then WHY OH WHY doesn't it work in the first place? The file IS then already correct. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

there is something wrong with the tutorial, when malcolm asks you to get your stuff( sword,pistol,etc) you can only do sidewalks, you cant even move the camera
 
I don't know if that's the unique reason of the smugglers error but i noticed that in Smuggler Agent_dialog.c there is this line of code :

d.Text = DLG_TEXT[19] + locations[FindLocation(Pchar.quest.contraband.CurrentPlace)].name + DLG_TEXT[20];

Or Cuba_shore_01 and Hispaniola_Shore_03 have no .name reference declared so if the SelectSmugglingLocation() function returns these locations, the dialog will say error.

A possible fix for that would be to declare a .name in the init of these locations or replace .name by .id.label in Smuggler Agent_dialog.c like that :

Hello everybody.

I have a problem in build 14 - patch 4. Installed fine, but however I can not buy or sell in the store loads, and also when you open the part that I sell I click twice on my ship but the game closes automatically.

Could someone help me?

Incidentally, I met the site a short time and I am again. It is a very good site. I am from Brazil, and wonders whether such a translation would build 14, then downloaded the language pack but portuguese was not there.
Sorry for the bad english, I use google tradutor! :p

At the moment even the translations that do exist are unfinished and I don't recommend using them, because they won't work right.
A translation will only exist when somebody makes one; people started on them in the past, but none was ever finished. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

After some internal testing in the past few days and adding some additional content, Alpha 9.5 is now done.
This will be the last update for a while to allow everybody to do some thorough testing and further developing.

does this fix the stormy bug? or is this a hard to find bug.

i tried the stormy thing with the Bartolomeu o Portugues quest, and it worked

Which "stormy bug" do you mean? The standard and Jack Sparrow storyline storm weirdness?
We didn't look into that yet. I did do the storm test quest in the Jack Sparrow storyline and that worked fine.
 
Talking of storms... Twisters are a bit overboard, sinking your ship in about 10 seconds....everytime.
 
I had some storms and twisters quite recently and I could sail through them just fine. Even with a small boat. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
