Collision detection in my install has become borked. Boardings are very difficult because when you approach the other ship you collide and both start spinning and crashing into each other. When the spinning finally stops you get to try it again. It seems the only safe way to board is to use the long distance boarding perk.
Also, when leaving port ships get sucked together and go racing off while stuck together while getting significant damage.
Then there are the big Spanish War and Manila galleons. They will start going around in circles and any smaller ships close by can be sunk by repeated collisions.
It seems all ships are affected by this to some degree large and small. I have seen a yacht get sucked into the side of a passing 1st rate when it seemed there was more than enough room to pass safely.
