HMS Victory [OLD VERSION]

Please, understand - the Dauntless/Endeavour are not exact copies of the Victory. As such, there are significant structural differences between those two.

Lets start with the front: Dauntless' figurehead are half-figures of the lion and the unicorn, holding coat of arms. The Endeavour appears to have the exact same figurehead.

Next, the Dauntless/Endeavour doesn't have bulwarks in the rear of the main deck; the Dauntless also doesn't have any cannons on the main deck (unlike Endeavour).

Instead of two sets of stairs leading to the poop deck, the Dauntless/Endeavour have only one central wide staircase. Consequently, its steering wheel is located on the poop deck, not on the main deck.

That is correct.
I just wanted to Manowar (the original is just too ugly and too big) replaced from the game by a nicer and more realistic model.
This I found on the FTP, the hulls of Victory / Intrepide / Monarca and started to modify it. The Endeavour was added only because of the texture of Oskar94 purely coincidental. :shrug
But when the ship is finished I can create according to your wishes another Endeavour. This should almost go without major changes. :yes
The texture should produce one of you. ;)
 
It sure would be nicer to have movie accurate ships (like we have for the Pearl and Cursed Dutchman)

So you are going to do a movie accurate version eventually then? :? :D
 
Ok, she's not the endeavour, i put this title because she's base model was the endeavour of the build

Can the moderators or who you want change the topic title?



Then, i think that she is better than the original model, if the problem are the textures she is going to be released also with the original thextures
 
Well if the model your working on can be the Victory and then if you do the real Endeavour would you do the textures (with the name on the stern) and Dauntless as well ;)

It would be great if you could :D
 
Yes, for this no problem, the problem's the endeavour\dauntles has got different model, for example the forecastle are higher and also... :shrug
 
Well the Dauntless and Endeavour are based on the same ship (except for cannons on the top deck [which should be able to be added by a .always])

So if pgargon does the Dauntless and then we can add top deck cannons (that are seperate but go with that model) so that it becomes the Endeavour it will just require two different textures for that one model ;)

.always is for locations.
Anyway, if pgargon makes a movie-accurate Endeavour, it'd be easy enough to make a Dauntless too, right?

What is that small boat doing in the water on the first screenshot?
That looks like the one from the old SLiB mod. In PotC, we've now got a better version that we found on a Russian forum.
Could probably be made to work in CoAs too. :yes

The small boat is a lifeboat of Pinnace. If one takes it to get det captain as a guest / prisoner. :walkplank
 
A lifeboat of an NPC ship? That's pretty cool! Still, the model should be replaced. :razz
