Ideas for Mods..............

Yea somthing like that! only my idea was that thay have ther one "city" where they
have ther one leader ect. unlike the devil worshiperes ho need to live in an
cave they have ther one City. in Sid meiers P. you can deliver objekts/mail for
them and aid Refugies (is this correct spelling for persons ho is runing away from war ect.)
by aid I men that you bring them to the Closest town and when you do so the number
of innhabitants in that town is Growing + you get points. somthing like this?

that was pretty understandable actually. and you wheren't that far of: refugees. i think adding a town for the animists could be possible. we could place the pirate fort somewhere in the jungle on one of the islands, and let animists walk the streets. maybe a retextured church could be added as well. you could accept missions from them, or you could help the church destroying them. the 'strange thing going on in the archipelago' quest could be after the quest of destroying the animists. that maltese knight said that they had destroyed an animists lair before. this could be that lair. maybe some dialogue could be changed in the existing quest, so it would fit with the quest of destroying that other lair. i think the knight said that the old lair was on saint martin.

I think that you could better make a village with escaped slaves, and that you can help the slaves to do guirellia`s against their supressors. And that you could hire some deckfighters there, and buy stolen goods.

that's a bit like the smuggler's hideout on conceciao. now to add the guerilla-missions.

maybe as part as clair de la rouselle, random generated squads, and your mission to intercept and kill them all.

do you mean squads of guerilla soldiers? wouldn't that make clair larrouse a good guy?

Ok! after some thinking I propose as follows:

1. the order of the maltese knight`s have a town on one the Islands
and the animists the devil worshipers have ther Laier, one can take missions
from both as one wants, givs us the opion to worship ho the player wants.
mybe it can be an opion in the new game menu what religion you want to have!
Christian/animist/Islam or Judaism?

2. I like the idea of a village with escaped slaves, im thinking biger!
add slaves as goods and making it so that you can free them in this city???
ang get points from this.

what do you think?

one more thing I have beta 9 now is it coming more betas son? or is this it in the beta serie?

slaves did exist as goods in the original version, before disney became involved. i do like the situation of the decision between the good and evil side. the problem is though that you wouldn't be able to play the 'strange things going on in the archipelago' quest, as you have to destroy the animists. and having them return for a second time is just too lame for me. i wouldn't like to remove that quest altogether. maybe you could join the maltese knights when you get introduced to that knight. you wouldn't have to remove the quest, and you can still join them. we just have to change the dialogue so that it isn't the last lair. maybe that the teacher doesn't die but instead escapes. if you join the animists, you couldn't play this quest. instead, it would be interesting if the missions you do for the animists are:

killing the messengers,
sinking the montanez,
kidnapping the children,
fight against the knights after you succesfully defended the cave.

in short, the quest from the side of the animists!

yes, something like that was unheard of in those days. i forgot about that.

Yes, back then there was still such a thing as morality, and folks weren't quite as anxious to meet Old Hob as they are nowadays.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />

but such is the 'fraility' of man, even with a religion to give him rules, that even priests of god have been famously known to stray. Just to put the balance back in in case it becomes a 'holier than thou' vs 'heathen fornicators' discusion <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I'm all for putting more 'church' related stuff into the game AND some fairplay(as in female chars being able to marry) - but i dont feel it would actualy be appropriate to add things that in the context of the time period...were mostly the preserve of the rich+the clergy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> (blasphemer! stone him! stone him!) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Pirates were famously amorale for the most part - but anyway i think we've pushed this boat as far as it will be pushed with the brothel mod, THAT should be plenty to satisfy those of weaker moral fiber imho? But still no-one is so pure to start casting stones on the issues - we dont want any more witch-burnings do we?

hmmm actualy that has given me a nice mod idea - do we have a witch burned at the stake type quest? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Didn't we rescue Clement from the mob just because we had to complete the main story quest? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

But how are those players with weaker moral fiber supposed to be "satisfied" with fully-clothed females? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

btw, I am NOT advocating more revealing skins.

Imagination, Doober, use the ol imagination - and the language takes you the rest of the way imho <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

And is Clement(thats the old guy outside the prison isn't it?) going to be burned or hanged?

Anyway i'm thinking along the lines of the spanish inquisition type stuff("No-one expects the spanish inquisition!") - and burnings at the stake etc, i dont think thats been done and could make a nice spanish set of quests?

But i got to play the build13 for a good while first <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

From what I remember of the dialogue, burned.

True, pirates were indeed famously amoral. However, let's leave the butt-pirates out of the game, thank you very much. Any-wayy, regarding the brothel, where in tarnation is it? I enabled it in buildsettings.h, but I'll be hanged if I can find it... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

Quebradas Costillas town. You need to start a new game after enabeling it though.

Yeah, Akella designed 3 (I think) tavern models for 7 towns.

Now that we have so many Islands and extra towns, the 3 models just seem to be too repetitive.
