The ugly smuggler ship I'm working on now will probably be Pirate only.

Just letting everyone know (for the second time) that I'm still working on this.
I've been using it in game and do not like how the sails work.

Along with changes in rigging, I am changing the skin a bit, so it already looks different ... but still ugly!
 
are you makeing textures or Model?

I don't model.
I'm basically a skinner. I work with existing POTC ships, masts/spars.
I also change locators and edit walk files when needed.

I was getting sails on different masts turning in different directions at the same time.
The game engine controls how various spars and sails react to the wind and there is little a modder can do about it.

I just had to look for different spars to use.

The ship looks good, But i dont lice the front of that ship (the horse) :p

Nice to see you're still working on her, Petros! On the other forum I had the thought of using her as the ship used by the smugglers who rescue Jack from the island on which he was marooned. That should give your ship a nice special smuggler use. :p
 
and i still say that it's a small old-designed caravel. though maybe narrow.

You don't know, but just the other day, while working on it (extra time while not posting anywhere) I was saying to myself, "Why the hell am I doing any more ships anyway"?

I sail the ships I make sometimes for months in game before I release them.
These ships I like to use in game.
But I'm sure no one else really wants them, that is, except to make pretty targets to blow out of the water with their monster MoWs & SoLs.

I'm spending so much time making freaking "Cannon Fodder"!

Actually i do like this ship ..and i would like to sail with it (with me dirty hands of course <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
 
Your ships CANNONFODDERS?! Now you are talking crap Petros. They are too nice to blow up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> Capture them! And I am glad that there is someone who makes gorgeous ships from the 16th-17th century. All the others (including myself only make 17-18th century ships.)

Don't let yourself get carried away. But I really want that Petros-quest that you were making.

I might not actually sail them very frequently, but I hardly play the game so that's not saying much. He, Petros, don´t forget the people who like to roleplay, we need these beautifull little ships. Biggest ship I can get with my house
rules is a corvette/frigate, but most of the time i´m sailing a brig/barque or a quebec. So your work on the "smaller" vessels is really appreciated. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
