I know how to make textures, maby not that good at makeing it, but i can,

The problem is to get the texture at the right place,

You know: if you edit I.e depp1 texture in photoshop you see jack sparrow, then you edit colours and face and all textures.

But now as it is a new model, do i have to take a screenshot of my jack sparrow and replace him insted of the original sparrow on the texture?

// by the way, do you think he shal have that hat or no hat? or do i have to make a new one?

I think yer only ways about that are:

1) Let that stock potc hat be and retexture it.

2) MAKE the Jack's hat and texture it.

// but yes you can texture him if you want, But i don´t have a texture

As for the texture: I remember when I was editing those mapships, they were also white in 3DS MAX. What I then did was to take their textures, convert them to TGA, then make a new material in 3DS MAX using that texture, then apply that material to the ship. There is a button you must press for the material to actually show up in the 3D editing view. But that should allow you to view the texture in 3DS MAX.

Now there is another problem with the smoothing groups; as you can see the Jack model is rather squarish. I don't remember how I fixed that for the ships. I think the problem was caused by all vertexes being taken apart and I had to merge all vertexes again. I recall that solved the smoothing problem for me.

Thomas the terror told me, to make animations (so it looks like he walk, swim and run) i had to import model to TOOL and make the animations,( bind, something) but he did not know how, It sounds true, it looks like you can make animations there, but how

you mean adding the animations to the character. i thought you meant making new ones, like you said.

well, sorry, me neither. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
