I've been looking at this new vessel, and something seems a bit out of place. The bow. A Napoleonic warship's bow would be a bit raked, streamlined. The one in the image has an extremely curved set of head timbers and a rather bluff bow... something resembling the 17th century. You might want to try and re-model the bow so that the bow looks a bit like this: <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/ar/rogerart/images/ship31.jpg" target="_blank">The Bow of a Napoleonic Third Rate</a>

yeah, I'll do that... as I've said earler, I'm modeling the ship after the HMS Agamemnon, and I haven't even started on the bow yet.

don't worry, it will be fixed. I''ll start my working on it again on the 16th june, then my exams should be finished.

Admiralkoch

just finished my finals. good luck on your tests! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Update <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

<a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/nicklas101/Agamemnon2.jpg" target="_blank">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/nic.../Agamemnon2.jpg</a>

I've added a cannon just next to the cabin (only made the hole for it, the cannon is still missing), and I'm about to add four more cannons to the deck.

I've also started working on the bow.

Thnx for the pic Commodore John Paul Jones, it has been very helpful.

hopefully the bow will be finished in the next update <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Ahoy thar AdmiralKoch, but you have been doin a fine job. I could not help but point out something to you that "others" may not have thought of, or even been aware of, but what is the special significance for the HMS Agamemnon to Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson.....................................It was his first Ship Of The Line. Before that he was a frigate captain. Anyway you are making the HMS Agamemnon, which was built in 1777....at least twenty years before the So-Called "Napoleonic Period" that we all know and love. Anyway my point is that you Are making this Noble vessel, and not a ship from the Napoleonic Period so your "BOW" should be modelled after this vessel, and not what someone "THINKS" it should be modelled after.

End Of Story.....keep up the great work and hopefully I will sail this magnificent and much loved fighting Ship some day very soon

I have already posted the history about the HMS Agamemnon and Nelson in this thread. and as I also said to John Paul Jones is that I'm modeling it after the HMS Agamemnon.

Another thing is that the bow of HMS Agamemnon is almost exactely the same as a Napoleonic era vessel.

And for the creation of the ship I use Blueprints of the HMS Agamemnon, so I will make it as close to the real one as possible.

i hope i manage to find a copy of PotC soon!
lovely ship. its a knock out without a skin! imagine what it will look like when painted!

Finally, here is the new bow:

<a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/nicklas101/Agamemnonbow.jpg" target="_blank">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/nic...gamemnonbow.jpg</a> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

your really taunting me now!
i have one of my friends in one of the PC game shops doing a "special" search for me to get PotC back in my hands. after that i'll do any "test sailing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />" you could possibly need!
looking at this i was starting to wonder whether the MOW version is being made at the same time or if your planning to continue after your finished the HMS Agamemnon. at this rate we could well be on our way to having a proper British Royal Navy Fleet!

Here's a new screenshot

<a href="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/nicklas101/HMSAgamemnon-1.jpg" target="_blank">http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/nic...Agamemnon-1.jpg</a>

I think I'm gonna add some details to the deck now

GOOD LORD! I LOVE IT SIR! The bow... the decks... the stern... so amazing! I CANNOT wait to see this in game!
Koch, you need to keep modeling...your work is of professional quality. I don't understand why Akella hasn't come to you on their knees... begging you to model ships for them! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

ITS INCREDIBLE! I'M SURPRISED YOU DON'T WORK FOR ALL THE GAME COMPANIES!you could make millions as a freelance 3d model designer!
i can't wait to see it when it is painted and decorated!

Thanks, hehe

but please keep in mind that this is a modified version of a ship which is already ingame, and that this is my first model.

Admiralkoch

It already looks good! If you are able to re-work a base model that well, you can surely make ones from scratch too! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

13 days to PotC2!

I think I will make some 3D models for AOP too.

I'll finish this one for PotC first, and I might convert it to AOP format too <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

Alright. here's a new update <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
