I like that idea. If there is enough of a demand, perhaps it will get done.
Sometimes the quickest way to get an idea into the game is to do the modding yourself or work with someone to get it done

Things have moved slowly concerning female outfits.
I guess there was just not much of a demand.
I believe it was only in build 11.99 that we were able to hire town woman as officers, and then they didn't have proper interface portraits.

A few (very few) people lamented the "red hooded monk" portraits all the women got, but nothing was done about it.
Everyone was busy on their own, and I might add, great mods.

The female models were already in the tailors shop mod!
Problem was that they were deactivated, and there were no portraits.
My coding skills are Zero, but here the coding was already done!

Well, one thing I can do is portraits, so I took on the job, and added all the "towngirl" portraits to the game. Not completely happy with them as fighting officers, I've gone on to skin "Danielle" clones. I'd be more creative but my modeling skills are -3.

If you pirate gals can pool your resources and talents in coding, modeling, and graphics, and persuade others to join in, there would be no limit to the expansion of the female roles in Potc. The single problem now seem to be those pesky locators, as I mention in the other thread...

Good news is I can now modify the models (to what extent remains to be seen, as I the skeleton comes into play), but their sword and pistol flies off to wherever. Trying to crack that one now, but I may need a break as I probably stare myself blind at the problem, as with the previous one. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" :rolleyes:

NK was working on a more feminine, AOP-inspired version of my Beatrice skin/model... he modelled a bust onto it, for one. I haven't seen if he's had much more time to work on it lately. But yeah armour for female characters is a good idea I never thought of that.

Right, Alan, from talking about the Beatrice model with Nathan evolved the new functionality in the tool to code bones into the UVs. But AFAIK he hadn't tested it yet, so I'm glad it's been tested now. Fixing Beatrice will be relatively easy now, I think.
