Well I do say! It appears that I have a little bit of a problem! My men keep on killing off the french. I guess that I will just have to reinstall the program and see if that helps. Thanks for the help!

Oh, and one more quik question. How large is the addon file supposed to be? My internet connection is flaky at best, perhaps I did not get the whole file.
 
like 365 mb and you you must download first the setup, and after that the second version, i think there is the problem.
 
Installing the second version fixed the problem. haha I thought it was probably something simple. Thanks once again Thomas!

I've installed AOP w/ 1.41 patch(included when i've bought the game). Then 1.5 patch, the no cd crack-from www.gameburnworld.com, SoSF(v201), SoFS(v207) and finaly, ya translation.
But the William Milds and priest's quests are still in Russian.
Ya said that ya can play SoFS in english, but i can't <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
So Thomas, please tell me which are the exact steps of ya SoFS instalation.
 
I said that the william milds is still in russian, in my next version the priest quest will be in english, and the rapers and raiders dialogs will be in english too. And I will translate the questbook of the william milds quest.

It isn`t all translated, I translated the most, so that you can play the game. But there are still dialogs in russian. I haven`t translated the william milds quest yet, because it were too big. and after my first translation I began with modding for me own (I am busy now with a Jack Sparrow version 2. So that you can hire him as officer, or start the game as him.)
 
If somebody knows what's to be done within the main quest (locations, characters...briefly-not a full walkthrough), please help!
after jail break, i went to JAMAICA but the tavernowner doesn't mentioned anything 'bout the map. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> OK w/ me, next thing to do was gainin' as much experience as i could <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /> (reached level 12) fightin' with France and takein' quest from the traders (reputation: traders-hero; smugglers-hero; dutch, english, spanish-plain fellow; french-bastard).
Then, on ISLA MONA there was a pirate(Fernando Aranso..or somethin' <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> ) who said somethin'bout William Milds an' a load of cocoa - the text was in Russian <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> so I only understand that i should go to NEVIS - so i went to NEVIS's tavernowner who said (in Russian-of course) somethin'bout TORTUGA(french collony).
Now, the question in me mind was: should i make peace w/ the French or just sneak into town? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" />
i choosed to SNEAK into port tryin' to avoid the guards(as much as i could-otherwise they'll pull the swords an'fight w/ ya) and i went dirctly to tavern. The taverowner dialog is translated(thanks to Thomas <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" /> ) but when ya ask him 'bout W. Milds. ya have only 2 options: either to mennace him or to pay him 1000 piasters. the result is the same: he'll laugh at ya and the ya'll be 'teleported' in front of the Tortuga residence. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
here's how far i could reach with tha main quest.
So, if there's someone(english) who has gone futher more w/ the quest, please ENLIGHT me!

oh.. and i almost forgot: there's 1 problem w/ the shipyard... when ya wanna upgrade ya sails and cannons, there are no more specification of them. the are only the pictures of them. i.e. ya could only guess which are the culvernins w/ 700 range and 110 reloadin' time.

i've used a combination between Thomas' first and then second translation and it worked <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />
there're still some dialogs in Russian (i've solved some of'em useing babelfish... just useing copy/paste so not copletly intelligible, but OK <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> -ya can do that too) but the game is now playable.

For those who reinstalled AOP, SoFS 201 then 207 updates, is necesary to create a new folder named english, something like ....\program\dialogs\english and to copy here the common.c file from the russian folder(otherwise taverowner's dialogs will be in Russian).
this is all ya have to do to play SoFS in english(at least for me). enjoy! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />
