Selectable Storylines

The Spanish officers look <i>very</i> similar to the Continental Navy's uniforms, perhaps we could use those?

The rest of the age names look good, I just thought the two "E"s of Early Explorers and its being a short name... it didn't really roll off the tongue.

I actually found Thomas the Terror's original US soldiers again yesterday. See <a href="http://piratesahoy.net/potc/Pieter%20Assorted%20Files/+%20Characters/RN%20Sailors%20and%20US%20Soldiers.zip" target="_blank">here</a> for the files.
 
Pieter, go to your pirate page, click on the character list, and scroll to the very bottom. Spa_cpt_18 and Spa_lut_18 from the JMV pack look really good! And Yes, I have those American soldier skins too! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Ah! THOSE Spanish officers. I can imagine them working as US soldiers as well. Somehow it seems to my mind that US soldiers/officers should have black uniforms. I don't know why though. Probably just a random thought of mind with no basis in historical fact whatsoever. Still I think it'd look cool. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
You probably imagine us in black because of our USN uniforms today... what's funny is that they call 'em "dress blues". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
 
The Holland America Line blue uniforms are also almost black. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
Seriously though, I think soldier uniforms in black/very dark blue would look good for the US. Would be obviously different from the other nations as well.

true. but i've had it happen to me before. i met, in a really dark spot in a cave, a skelly (which you can't see) with a musketoon (which you can't see) and a boarding axe (which you can't see!). that one gave me a bit of a scare when it shot me.

Does anyone think that maybe we should have some more imaginitive names for our different storylines?
Right now we've got:
- Assassin starring Johan Elting - Storyline name is a bit short
- Bartolomeu o Portugues starring Bartolomeu o Portugues - Would be nice to have a storyline name different to the character name
- Blaze Devlin/Devlin Opera - Named after main characters
- Horatio Hornblower starring Horatio Hornblower - Storyline named the same as the main character again
- The Legend of Jack Sparrow starring Jack Sparrow - Has the same name as another computer game

Basically what I'm suggesting is we try to come up with some more catchy names that would make somebody want to play them. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Start Jack Sparrow quest by somebody telling of Jack's exploits in a tavern. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />
