Yep, I took those shots from the fore castle of my Light Caravel using 9lb. long guns, 13 gun broadsides.
My gunner has Professional Cannoneer and skill 10.

Even so, it still took many broadsides, and only some produced critical hits.
 
caravels are REALLY bad ships in my opinion. the only thing they're good for is the loot.
 
Let's just say that anything I put into the game is worth sailing, at least for me.

That is not in Build 13 and I'm not sure about B14 but it is easy to put in your own game.

I was so distracted, laughing out load <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> , that other enemy ships were able to get off several hits on my ship. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />
Also, you will notice that your crew go flying when you're hit. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boom.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":boom" border="0" alt="boom.gif" />

No, in the middle shot there are two guys climbing ratlines of a fallen mast.

But I've been thinking of doing that and it isn't hard.

I plan on taking the "lo_man.gm" and making a "lo_man2" and "lo_man3" and giving them different clothes.

Then by adding them to the LowCharacters folder and adding their code to the particles.ini file, I should get variety in the carnage.
 
LOL. Now I see. Indeed they ARE climbing the ratlines. I am thinking though: If you add more different characters to the particles, won't there be a higher number of crewmembers flying around? I think there should just be a few, not dozens, if we are to add the mod into the game. Still it'd be really funny. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
