Think about it as placing locator for the mast, except it doesn't have to be the mast. My <i>Pearl</i> uses this technique to place lamps and stuff on the deck. Woops. I had intended to set the Dutchman to CanEncounter = false. Apparently I didn't. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

It is kinda strange having that happen.
 
Just came back from the movies now meself, really enjoyed it, allthou i wasent too keen on the transformation of the dutchman a'la "beuty and the beast". it was a bit of a sad movie, i kind of felt for Davey Jones, he seems so much more bitter and miserable being under that scum lord.
 
To Mr Cyberpunk: That must be the case. To recitify it, open PROGRAM\Ships\ships_init.c, find the Dutchman and set refShip.CanEncounter = false;. If there is no such line, add it.

sorry Mr_cyberpunk, i didnt intend to annoy anyone, and I did not know that it is a no-no... I will refrain from doing it again... I am just too impatient to wait for hours for a response... but it wont happen again...

Does anyone hava an idea if any images if it exist online? I haven't been able to find any.

Could you possibly draw me a quick sketch of the Dutchman w/ new color scheme? I kinda only caught the gold gun ports, but I didn't actually notice what happened to the faces themselves, i.e. if they retained their old expressions or if they changed completely.

With all this work on the <i>Dutchman</i>, I didn't know if this would be of any help to you guys. I found this while aimlessly searching the web not too long ago.
 
Ive seen the movie three times now, but i still havent figured out what sparrow means when he says "four of you have tried to kill me in the past. One of you succeeded", I know that barbossa, will and elizabeth have all tried, and that elizabeth succeeded... but who is the last one he is talking about?
 
who are the people present there? i think i'd be able to help you out on that one. (i HAVE seen that scene)
 
I beleive Pintel is the 4th one, remember he was one of the pirates that was looking forward to killing him on Isla de Muerte in the 1st movie.
 
Tia Dalma was the fourth one. She even responds to him, saying something like "Don't tell me you didn't enjoy it at the time", with Jack saying "Fair enough".
 
Pintel (isla muerta)
Will (blacksmith shop)
Barbossa (isla muerta)
Elizabeth (DMC Black Pearl)

Tia Dalma was I think speaking about their: Thick as Thiefs thing, where Jack was talking about in DMC.
