Build 14 Alpha 8 WIP 2 PIRATE_KK

Pirate_KK's and Maximus' game versions are pretty much incompatible, so be careful on trying to minimize conflict. Be sure to try Bartolomeu's main quest and have a look at the code. That is the first quest to make use of the Selectable Storylines mod and should give you a lot of hints on how to work the Jack Sparrow quest in as a seperate storyline as well. I recommend just copying the original storyline and adding your changes to them. Would be nice to have a fun opening scene other than the original game's tutorial of the Jack Sparrow quest as well. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

As for Jack Sparrow I do intend a different start (less tutorial) and a few "Jack type" escapades before getting him back to the Beckett Norrington Barbossa line.

Is anybody still trying this game version? It's be nice if we could compile a list of confirmed bugs.

I think I have the "original game" quest back as it should be, but I am having a lot of problems with this version at the moment, so am having difficulty in testing it.
I will try to list the problems tomorrow.

Some bugs.
1. Streetmerchens whith out goods or money.
2. In the Port Roal church copey when you enter a bilding and then leave
you find yours self in Port Roal it self.
3. The invashen movie playes unexpectle and your anamishon disapears.
You all so get aSaber and good telascop.
4. Only you and offers when boarding enimy ships.

probably animation. but that still doesn't make any sense. how does an animation dissapear? i think he's trying to say that the game crashes after the invasion movie starts. somehow he gets two items from this.
 
Yes I mean animation.
No it dose not crashes after the invasion movie.
Just keeps on playing at unexpectedly times.
And the guns have no gunpowder or bulites
unles you donot have aney then you get 6 of each
even if you have the flask and bag.
You alos get other things, comen spyglas and short gun.

About ships_init.c : I met a fleet of 5 manowars and 4 battleships in the Spanish Main Period. Is it normal ? If yes, are you sure it's realistic ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I also noticed rather a lot of Manowars in the Spanish Main era when I was testing your main quest. This *might* happen because not all Manowars have their chance values set to 0.0 in that period. However, I get the impression that the limiting-ships-to-periods code is simply not doing it's work. Although the code doesn't crash the game, so far I have seen no proof that it <i>works</i> either. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

After playing for awhile I find hat when I try to sell items (pistols, swords, etc). I have found that the street merchants/shop owners do not have anything and no money or only a conmen telescope with money only in that section. This problem spreads starts with at just one location and then spreads out to other locations. I thick it may evenly affect all street merchants/shop owners. (I think this first appeared in B14 a7.)
Skill items those that are equipped such as Normal Compass, Simple clock and Chronometer have an effect on skill level but the other skill items eg. Doctor's Toolkit, Black Bart's Bumper Book of Boarding, Diamond and Lucky Ring do not.
When you have the Chronometer, Sextant and Normal Compass, you poison is shown on the chart, but if you have the Enhanced Compass it does not.
Also on Antigua all the street merchants are standing on the same spot as each other.
On Quebradas when trying to leave Santiago I find that as soon as I enter the exit I am emendate sent back into the town, and if I try from the other end of the exit I am trapped in a endless enter and return. This also happens in the town of Havana when leaving the Church area into the central area by the upper exit.
When entering into the dungeon I think you archly enter the dungeon under Port Royal as if fast travel is used I end up in a Port Royal location.
Some of the dialogs of the governors have been mixed up, eg, the governor of Antigua, Also the harbourmaster at Port Royal.
Game crashes when entering Oxbay sea and Conceicao sea, it dose not happen at the begging but only after I have been playing for some time and have reached levels 9 -11 I am unsure as to the exact level it start at I am at level 16 and it only effects these two places at present but in B14 A7 it seemed to effect more and more places as with the street merchant/shop owners bug. But the game always crashes when trying to enter Redmond Sea.
The Invasion video plays at unexpected times it happens some times after a change, eg, on landing at Douween Port, some after cheeking quest book, after going to sea from land or map and can happen when sailing both on the map and in 3D, and Evan on land. Afterward I find that a conman telescope, saber and a short pistol (even if you have better ones) have been added and equipped and animation is gore unless you did have any to start with then you get six of each, ammo pouch and powder flask are unequipped if you have them.
When in the talliers shop on Douween if you spend to much time looking at the outfits, the taller disappears instead of showing next outfit and does not reaper, When you leave you get black screen. Also when going through gates occasionally you get black screen. But these doses not happen often.
Some of the outfits are invisible when given to an officer he/she becomes invisible too.
On the old double boarding deck the invisible enemy are on the smaller ship in front of the middle mask just to the side, you can get them whit you sword it you are close to them.
The French Superior Warship: Belette has gray and fetterless hull, and pirat 5 also is gray.(no colour.)
I have notes that you only get one H.P. for every level up.
After capturing the Superior Warship: Belette I then used it to attack the port. During which there was only two people on each area. Encouraged by my success I later try attaching other port the fist the French port on Saint Martin I stoped after seeing on damage after several volleys and when I checked with my telescope I could not see any information abut the fort. The next port was Terks there I got stuck on the last area because there was no one too talk too. There was several people walking around but I could not move or tale to any of them, side step still worked.
When you are in the fort there is only yourself and one defender unless you have asked some of the crew to follow you to land and if you first amend them they will do the fight for you. But they do not show up during ship boarding.
Over all B14 A8W.I.P.2 is far better then B14 A8 W.I.P. and has a lot of grate fetchers, good work all round. THANK YOU.
 
Thanks James Cook. Can you please specify whether it's the Maximus or the Pirate_KK version to which this applies?
