Build 14 Alpha 9

- simking for that tavern keeper, I will try to remove him next update.

- simking we are working on the escort mission

- simking for Tortuga why they still firing at you;
1. if your standing with Pirate is to low, regardless witch flag you pull up they will attack. Try to moor on a beach and walk to the town tru the jungle if you can.
2. when you raise your flag do it this way. Go to the world map make sure your far from land or just outside the land ho, then enter the 3d sailing then raise your pirate flag, then come back to the island and enter 3d sailling again and see if it fix it. If you try doing this when around an island in 3d sailling it won't work, it's like entering an English port with a French flag then switch it to English under there nose.

- Megla sometime fort can fire tru mountains, so if you are in range they will fire and you will get it, also you don't ear them firing since your to far, that's the reason why the balls are coming from no where. I don't know if it should be fix are if we can.

- simking for the mouse option Hook made a fix somewhere and I'm sure it will be included next patch.

-simking for using the option then when you come back and the game is all f*** up, it's a know issue and we are working on it.

hello <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I too have a problem (sorry-bugs are everywhere in this build <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> but still HIGHLY enjoyable!!!) but when escorting Cutler Beckett to Jamaica(Redmond) and he says to go to the EITC officers building for payment, I go there, and all of a sudden it takes me to a house in San Juan?!?!?!?!? with no way of leaving?!?!?!?!? hmm, akward......any solutions? OH yeah! sorry, forgot to mention-this is the "Legend of Jack Sparrow" storyline

Thank you for noticing that. To fix: open PROGRAM\Locations\init\FalaiseDeFleur.c, go to line 91 and change it to:<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->    locations[n].id.label = "#sisland_name# beach";<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
Then open RESOURCE\INI\TEXTS\ENGLISH\interface_strings.txt and add the following line there:<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->#sisland_name# beach{#sisland_name# beach}<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
Now label should tell: <i>Martinique beach</i>.

Those mouse sensitivity issues sound really confused. I haven't noticed anything of the sort yet.

I get problem by capture:

If i capture more ships (not only one) in one Season, the first ship is no problem, but the second...impossible, after the screen looks like this:

<div align='center'><a href="http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=capturesecond.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/2315/capturesecond.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
</div>

And there is no way out, only close the game by taskmanager.

And this captive men get no picture:

<div align='center'><a href="http://img403.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gefangen.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/4052/gefangen.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
</div>

What do you mean by "season"? I'm pretty sure I managed to capture a couple of ships right after each other without going ashore inbetween.

<!--quoteo(post=308566:date=Mar 24 2009, 10:39 AM:name=Pieter Boelen)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pieter Boelen @ Mar 24 2009, 10:39 AM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=308566"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->What do you mean by "season"? If there are many ships and I take one ship after the next in one capture, the second makes this problems.(not every time)

And this happen in the shipyard, look at the prize and on my money after take the "cheap" improve:

my money before : <div align='center'><a href="http://img207.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shil.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/4188/shil.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>

</div>

I'm pretty sure that price of 0 is quite unintentional. Pirate_KK made an interface for the ship upgrades that you can buy, so it might work more normal in that version. It'll be included in an update to the <i>experimental</i> mods in the weekend, if I can figure it out.

Great.

But tell me once: In every town the same problem: If I put the button: "Fast travel to the Fort" the game crash. How can I handle this? Did I make mistake or whats happen to that?

I'd have to check; the fast-travel code isn't exactly very complicated. In the meantime, don't use the fast travel there.
I'm wondering why there actually IS a fast travel to the forts. There doesn't need to be, does there? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I don´t need this, only for test.
I have to adjust another one: The capture problem is happen, if I capture more than 3 or 4 ships in one way, after it will end on the sea with this lights on the water.

Those "lights" on the water look like floating goods and crewmembers, but they're white.
Beats me how they manage to be white. Even if the lack their textures, they'd be gray, not white. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

No. I get this problem again, this time by the first ship I capture and you see two small "flames", so there is little fire like a light, believe me. No way to show on a picture, need video.

edit: Now I get it again, but now you will see it´s fire, left side the small one and a big in front:

<div align='center'><a href="http://img239.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fire100.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/1309/fire100.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
</div>

Maybe for you check: All time this happen, I changed my flag from portoguese (neutral or friend) to dutch (enemy), after this I start capture. Maybe there is a context?!

Here you see also fire in the sky, far away and the game quit after capture the first cargo:

If you load a scene with that character model, everything looks fine, but if you reload to the <i>nex</i>t scene, everything gets messed up. This might not be completly undoable Pieter. I've tried converting a ship camera path file ([shipname]_path.gm) to a character path file (.ptc) with Tool (option 'create character path from gm'), and even if it's not totally perfect, it's not that bad either. But that would mean new .col files (and when trying, the lighting console returned me 'Init is failed' so...), as well then a little tweakering with adding ropes, sails, locators and details. All that would be heavy. Not mentioning that the ship I've tested looked a little too small compared to the character. (+ low resolution texture.)

New problem:

This is the store in Port Royale/Jamaica:
The Salesman have no money and on the display is no arrow to the goods:

<div align='center'><a href="http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=storem.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9806/storem.th.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>

</div>

I capture Port Royale, thats why I get a lot of money, but impossible to assign a Gouverneur.

i have a problem with the Legend of Jack Sparrow quest, every time i start it, after i have spoken to Jacks father (btw he has a different name every time) i want to do a fast travel to the tavern, but when i press enter it only show the cross that you see when you are fighting and press enter, its the same when i go to another island, but it works fine when i'm in 3d sailing mode
