Hello!

I installed CoAS today on my new computer which runs on Windows 8.
Graphic-card is Nvidia GeForce GTX 660

- Installation -
I installed the game without any problem - until i tried to launch it.

I get a few errors...

- Error 1 -
"~LIED81.tmp - Invalid Image

C:\Users\**my account name**\AppData\Local\Temp\PROPSYS.dll is either not made to run with Windows, or contains a fault. Try to instal yje program again using the original istallation medium, or contact the program provider for help. Error status 0xc000012f."
(freely trancelated by me)

Then when I click "OK", this same message comes up three times.
Then a box comes up that tells me:

- Error 2 -
"TAGES Drivers

The drivers requires installation (with administrator's account).
Do you want to proceed now?"

Here I have tried to press both options (yes/no)
- "Yes" - "Unable to proceed (error 1275)
- "No" - Just takes me to the next step, and the next error.

Then a last error message then comes up...

- Error 3 -
"Akella

Insufficient priveleges: You must be administrator when you run this application for the first time"

For the record - I am running this on my administrator account....

Anyone who can help me with this? :)

I even tried to install the GoF mod to see if it fixed anything - but no.

Best regards

Hey again!

I have been away for a short trip - tried the link you gave me, and also went to update the TAGES drivers.

And the game launched :)

However - now the music and voices are a little distorted.

It sounds as if they are of a very compressed bitrate or something... Everything else works like a charm.

Gonna check the FAQ and see if there have been similar problems before.

Thanks for the help so far :)

Just for the record, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the original game to check if it was the mod - but got the same result.

Found the solution on the CoAS Wiki.

If anyone else bumps into this problem - the solution is:

Change "UseMM = 1" to "UseMM = 0" under "[sound]" in the engine.ini file in the folder /age of pirates 2

Works like a charm now ;)
