Flying dutchman light things

ok I made new light things(fonar??) for on the back of the dutchman. they are a bit too small and I cant make them bigger in Tool, only smaller... how can i make them bigger? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
see here:

That looks interesting! Nice! How did you make those? In a 3D modeling program or with texture-work? If you did it in a 3D modeling program, you should be able to increase the size in there. Not sure about the Tool. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

i have a sneaking suspicion those are things you make a fire in for a small bonfire (they're not in the wordbook). still, they look good! but indeed too small. besides, they're mounted far more to the side of the stern, not the middle.

You mean they "should be" mounted far more to the side of the stern. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Captain Patrick, I've been able to get Tool to resize something it doesn't want to by first loading a gm that it will resize in both directions. With that gm loaded in scene, I then load the gm that Tool refuses to resize, and select it in scene.

At that point, Tool usually gives me the option to increase and decrease size.

I know how it works now (actually very simple <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" /> ) i will look better next time before i put it on the forum... btw what is the most recent version of the dutchman? the second ropeladders(I dont know how you call them) are weird, the sais are incorrect an much ropes are wrong..

Nice! How did you make those?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->it was very simple, i just made a reskin of the FlyingDutchman_fonar_night... and there is no weird flying lamp on the deck <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />.
see:

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> it looks a bit weird because the dutchman in the game is very different than the real one:

yes, i always thought this one was overly fat and too low. the real one's really different.

The latest Dutchman version is in the <a href="http://pafiles.com/potc/FilmShips.zip" target="_blank">FilmShips</a> mod. But SeaNorris made some changes to the AOP Lineship model, on which the Dutchman is based. But these changes still need to be put correctly on the Dutchman. So when are you going to release those lamps? I am thinking we could use these for the Davy Jones version and keep the current lamps for the Will Turner version, just to differentiate between the two (and not remove Thomas the Terror's skinning work on those lamps from the game).

That's Thomas' skinning work, yes. How would you propose to use them both at once? Or use your alpha map with Thomas' texture?

Is this your way of saying "thanks Petros for the tip", or did I post the help for nothing?

ow srry <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> ... actually I dindn't understand what you said <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />, I did it all by myself <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I gotta say that even i did not understand him. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

the trick is to read it more slowly. then you might just partially understand it. fully if you understand the terms he's flinging about.

Thanks for putting the file up on the FTP! I'll add it it to my Dutchman. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
