MK's latest GOF video adventure

Ay Mates!

Several new videos posted to my Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/modernknightone

Here are some for this week. My music mod is nearing completion and should be done by next weekend I think. All the tracks are playing where they are supposed to and I just have a few more to add. These vids feature some of the new music which is very classical in nature as well as symphonic movie style soundtracks for battles.

First time I've done a brothel video.

....a couple more to go along with the post above. These were a blast. The battle between the beige and red versions of the Surprise was almost epic and the music makes the action more intensive than ever for me. Enjoy.

Nice video's Mk and the music fits in really nicely too. What programes do you use to edit and convert your files because i will be starting to record my F1 2011 race departement races soon, i use MSI Afterburner to record them and the testing i have done so far is very good. But because the races are normally 50% distance the video can be over 3 GB's so i would need to have something that converts big files into a small a file as possible for YouTube.

Thanks Luke!

I use Roxio PC Game Capture for recording and editing as well as using Microsoft Movie Maker and Media123 for some additional editing depending on how dark the images are. Movie Maker works good if you want to lighten images and Media123 has good tools for compressing the images. One of our German modders got me using VLC media player recently and I really like it. I haven't used it for video yet but its fantastic for audio. I reconverted most of my ogg files that I had done in Media123 with VLC and they are much cleaner now. I'm probably going to stop using 123 and just rely on VLC from now on.

Thanks Mk :onya , i have VLC media player, i think i use to have MicroSoft Movie Maker but can't remember (Had a clean out) so i will download it and use that for editing.

MK, you old smooth talker you! xD:

Love the music as always MK, I especially liked the harpsichord music for the brothel, nice touch mate! :onya

Thanks Thagarr,

If I were only as smooth in real life. I've had my moments I suppose. Anyway Mates, Here's this weeks videos. This week the slippery Bluebird is the subject of my videos. I am using Rider88's beautiful Castell Frederichsburg to go after the naferious pirate xebec. These vids have some good samples of my music mod. Now I know I've had many of you PM me about this mod and I'm happy to say it's finished and tested and everything works perfectly. I am just waiting on the last couple of approvals to use a couple music tracks before I release it. Soon.... enjoy the vids. ;) MK

Fantastic videos MK! I really love the new music, especially the fight seen with the Bluebird's captain in the first video. The violin piece was very good as well. The new music really adds quite a bit of atmosphere! :onya

I never could bring myself to sink the Bluebird, I never much cared for her looks personally, but she has got some fantastic stats! :woot

Here's a little something I recorded while playing with my laptop while I was laid up. It's SeaNorris's beautiful creation the Ostender Privateer Neptunus taking on an equal beauty in Nightwatcher's wonderful new Elizabethan racebuilt galleon Revenge. I am in heaven with all the gorgeous creations our modelers continue to churn out. These ships are both two of my top favorites in the game!

Here's to you, our talented PA modelers! :cheers Thank you Mates!!! Enjoy the vid with my new music mod applied. MK

Awesome vid, I love that you got a musketeer in your group and the music is a nice touch.

Thanks OP,

I usually always try to keep a musketeer with me whenever possible when I get more advanced fighters. A lot of people have complained about the bounty hunters, but I rather like them. There is no better way to get fighting skills up quickly than running into them everytime you enter a port. Also once you get your stealth up a bit the game allows you the option of telling them they've got the wrong guy. If you succeed in duping them, it brings your stealth skill higher.

When I have very strong fighters, I try to develop my light or heavy weapons skills to attain the maximum numbers, because I always max out medium first. I usually try to rotate my fighters, so I always have two sets of very strong fighters at any given time. Here's another one:

So for your viewing pleasure this weekend I present a whole slew of Flying Dutchman vids I've been collecting for a little while. This "FD" series takes one from the beginning of the quest to its end. I lost the vid containing the dialogue with "White-Boy" unfortuneately.

Anyhow here is a small sampling and you can see them all on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/modernknightone?feature=mhee

ModernKnight, I think we should set something up so your videos show up on the PiratesAhoy! YouTube account too.
I did put a lot of yours in the various playlists already, but I can't keep things up-to-date while I'm at sea as I am now.

That sounds fine to me Pieter. How would we go about doing such a thing? BTW I captured my very first videos from Build 14 last night and they look REALLY good.
