Cool: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirates_of_the_Caribbean_(video_game)#POTC_Build_Modification" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirates_of_th...ld_Modification</a> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Cool... hopefully this gets more people playing the Build <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Hmm.... eventually we should try to get a "Pirates of the Caribbean: New Horizons" page on the Wikipedia site.
And pirates.wikia.com too: <a href="http://pirates.wikia.com/wiki/Pirates_of_the_Caribbean_(game)" target="_blank">http://pirates.wikia.com/wiki/Pirates_of_t...aribbean_(game)</a>
There's actually a LOT of game stuff on that site. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

But the only modification mentioned is that the Black Pearl was replaced with a more accurate version.
As cool as that is, it's not exactly the only thing we did! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

We've had a major forum update, but it's not without it's quircks, it seems.
Please refer to this thread: http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?/topic/14214-upgrade-complete/
Post your comments there too. :doff

Don't worry about the Wiki it's still a priority for me.

I've been checking the IPBwiki website and they are close to getting 3.0 support.

With anyluck in a week or so we'll be back up and running.

Also, thanks to everyone for the help with it :onya

I was also thinking about making the wiki stand alone to stop any future problems, thoughts anyone?

Stand-alone is not bad, as long as there's an actual working register button available.
I tried to register on the main piratesahoy.net page a while ago to post news, but simply couldn't. :facepalm

Can somebody add Talisman's walkthrough from this post to http://wiki.piratesahoy.net/index.php/Legend_of_Jack_Sparrow_Quests ?

hi

how cool is that to have a working wiki!
shall i gather all items together and name there properties?
i would like to do that, i guess i'll find the pictures somewhere in a folder of the game, so it shouldn't be to difficult to put together a nice wiki entry ...

You would be welcome to update the Wiki further. You can find items in PROGRAM\ITEMS\initItems.c
And their description in RESOURCE\INI\TEXTS\ENGLISH\ItemsDescribe.txt
Interface pictures in the RESOURCE\Textures\INTERFACES\items[##].tga.tx files

Here is the main PotC:NH mod page
http://wiki.piratesahoy.net/index.php/Community_Build_Mod

I already started Items page...
http://wiki.piratesahoy.net/index.php/Items

I suggest you to use my example of page here:
http://wiki.piratesahoy.net/index.php/Dagger

You can work on it... Feel free to ask me any wiki coding things... And don't worry, I'll fix and clean-up any mistakes you'll make in wiki...

shure i already looked at your work,
that's why it motivated me to contribute to it!

beside that i always wanted a source to compare items,
which i can now make come true

Then go and make it... I'll be really happy if someone finish that... To me.... simply lost some motivation on work with wiki when I started 3D works... But I'll check time-to-time to look what have you done... and might be edit something my self.

Bug reports are also welcome though. If we don't know the bug is there, we can't fix it. ;)

i know as developer your always glad if some one findes your sh*tty code parts ;)
but i at least alsow get anoyed form time to time, not because other people give you
new bugs but because i can't find the damm little caracter not in place ;)
