Last night in me game, Hawk an' Fred Bob decided tew be polishin' up thar Quaker Exploit technique...

Fred Bob, a sort of nutty thing happened to me the other day on Devil's Island, at the base of the Inca pyramid, among some rocks on the left side as you come into the area, I found a treasure locator and when I hit F3 I got some documents. That's all they were and they didn't have anything written about them, but I have never seen them before in the game and I wasn't sure if it was a random thing, or if Screwface set it up to get them specifically. What do you find in your game when you go there?

I decided to get some proof that the "little fishies", that Catalina the Pirate and I keep seeing off of the sides of our ships, really do exist. This was taken looking thru my telescope in Douwesan Harbor.

I believe you have a better chance of seeing the little fishies if your ship is not moving. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Quaker Exploit Technique

I have a question.

Is there any way to "release" your sword to be able to do the "Quaker Exploit Technique" without having to diss a Monk?

You can normally release your gun but not your sword or spyglass.

Is there any code that can be changed to allow this?

My favorite picture in my head is still Fred Bob doing the Quaker Exploit and looting all of the chests while a battle ranges all around him. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I'm a little bit embarrassed to admit that I too knew that you could loot your own ship during a boarding action. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />

I've discovered a fairly nutty thing to do; I will engage from the world map into a battle between two nations where I have neutral relations with both of them.

I have found that you can either watch the ships fight each other, it takes a while for them to sink each other, that, or they eventually sail away from each other, or, I will shoot at the rigging and sails of the various ships from First Person Deck View.

As long as I don't hit the hull of the ship, no one fires back at me and I maintain my neutrality with both nations.

My new goal is to knock out all of the sails on all of the ships without anyone firing back at me, but I haven't been able to do it yet. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
