'Chocolate' Bill...I think your work is really grand!. Even if it never gets into the game, and I know that is not your intention, it is a lovely work. Here is too finishing it nicely.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->in the main deck...next to middle mast, there is that rotating device(don't know his name...) isn't it a litle offscale in comparisson to the rest of the ship? should it not be at the same scale as the steering whell? just cuz the ship looks a bit odd like that,<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I believe "Bloody Pirate" that is what was referred too as the "capstan" and was used too lift the anchors off the bottom. There is an excellent scene in the movie Treasure Island 1989 ( The One with Charlton Heston ) of the crew using it on the H.M.S. Bounty, which of course they used for the "Hispaniola" for the movie.
Bye the Bye....If you do get into Ship Building the Spanish Ships of the 1790's Nelson era would make beautiful addition to this game.....IMHO
