There Once was a Pirate from Limerick...

Me in a kilt.... A laughable idea! After all, every nationalist (not patriot, thats ok. Just when you think your better than everyone else because of where you came from gets really annoying around here) person around here is convinced Im an evil Englishman who they should try to annoy because he isnt Scottish. Seriously, they would be even more annoying saying "The English are stealing their culture" and majorly stuped annoyances like that.

(Note: only a few Scottish are like this, no offence to every other Scottish person who isnt like this at all. I just get a bit worked up about these guys)

Anyways, plaid would be funnier, as Im a young teenager!

I have a friend who was married while wearing a kilt... His family is part Irish - and he wanted to honor his heritage. He looked great. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

A'striding around in his kilt,
Paddy Pirate was stout and well-built.
Primed and ready for war
He saw the enemy and swore
And he flipped up his sword with a basket hilt! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I'd almost forgotten how addictive these things can be ....

The bold Scottish Pirate MacWhilter, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" />
Woo'ed a bonny young lass just to jilt her, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
But the Lass put an end <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dp_nogd.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ng" border="0" alt="dp_nogd.gif" />
To this philanderin' trend <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />
By keeping MacWhilter off kilt-er! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/slap.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":slap" border="0" alt="slap.gif" />

There is a young lass, name of Fancy
who excels making Ol' Mad Jack antsy.
Her "come hither" look
is a damned sexy hook,
and their liasons are often quite chancy.

Heh, as usual, Sir Christopher and Mad Jack are by far the top limerick conjurers (compared to me)! Nice ones! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Edit it out? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

No worries, I did it. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

And Fancy, me tanned maid, so pretty,
made off with me sloop, the "Old Bitty."
She took on so much water,
Dear Fancy, she faltered,
and sank her off Panama City!

Now Fancy was in a whale of a funk
Sunk "Old Bitty" and not even drunk!
Mad Jack rushed to Fancy's rescue
His funky hat all askew,
And gladly left "Bitty" to sink as so much junk!

Sweet Fancy, I plucked from the drink,
asking how she could ever think
she'd elude her Mad Jack?
And, damn her heart, deep and black,
she disarmed me with a kiss and a wink!

"Mad Jack! you're a bad rogue to mention,"
Said Sweet Fancy to explain her intention,
"How I often misuse you,
And in general abuse you,
How else could I keep your attention!" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/slap.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":slap" border="0" alt="slap.gif" />

(Captain Dams, that avatar tops them all! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

See you all at the waterfall..... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> )

My dear friends, don't think Fancy's a lark.
From my imaginings, she did not spark.
I'll attest, she's quite real,
and my heart, she did steal!
And with my rum, well... she's made her mark!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/love.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":luv" border="0" alt="love.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Thanks, mate!

Dear mates, while my love's not pretend.
By all means, offer rhymes to no end!
While sweet Fancy's my love;
such a beautiful dove-
You're my friends, so none can offend! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

To prove my rantings, I offer you this;
An image of who brings me such bliss!
Though the graphics are mine,
Her smile is sublime -
So not to post it, I'd be remiss!

Thanks for the head's up, mate! No idea what happened with it...

And I'm glad you enjoyed the limericks - you might say I've been pleasantly inspired!
