I have played POTC with settings as high as 1920 x 1200 ok. I just tried your settings and POTC would not start, probably because this monitor will not go that high.

Have you tried full_screen = 0?

That might also be because 1920 x 1200 is 16:10 and 2560 x 1440 is 16:9 aspect ratio. I´m already thinking about selling my monitor and changing to 16:10 because i heard that people with that kind of high resolution monitors have less problems with COAS settings than the ones with 16:9.

I have been playing POTC and COAS for years now on a 16:9 monitor at 1920 x 1080. I only had that 16:10 monitor for about 8 months.

And are you more happy now with 16:10 or before with 16:9? And did you have a full sized picture with COAS at 1920 x 1080?

I first bought a 16:10 monitor but it went bad after some months and was RMA'd. I got a 16:9 monitor back and have been very happy with it.

I have been searching for the maximum resolution of direct X 8. It is possible that POTC can not render a screen resolution that large since DX8 was replaced by DX9 in 2002.

I think it was more in a way that it will be released (eventually some day, maybe in May 2025 ) than any hint of a date (like christmass).

Even lack of Joruba here confirms that something is not going as planed.

I guess if they don't want our money its their loss afterall. Many interesting titles comming out anyway.

Seems just about exactly the same situation as when they released Age of Pirates 2.
It did happen in the end, but they did things in such a way that nobody knew about it and the ones who did STILL couldn't buy it through any normal routes.

Of course all the negativity on display here might have driven Joruba away too.
It's making ME tired to see it and I'm not even remotely involved.

I agree that the situation with AoP2 was very similar as you know already but i knew about it and could buy my delayed German Version normal from Amazon.

They had listed it at the 8th of May 2009 and it´s still there just only used versions now:
