PotC Build 12 Release Announcement

Or, uninstall the Build, and install it again, without the patch. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> I have the reboot problem, but randomly at boarding, firing, switching screens, etc... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

When it reboots, I look at the error report Windows made, and there seems to be a problem with my sound card. The sound is indeed integrated. Thanks for the tip. The game had been ramdomly rebooting the PC at screen changes. I will go out and try and find an updated driver.

As to the saved games, I have simply abandoned them. I was only about half way through main quest and had made a few wrong turns anyway. No big deal, no great loss.

So far every thing else I have seen in Build 12 is great. Thanks again for all the hard work.

ENGINE.exe Fold

Hi all,

I did what u all tolded, but when Build 12 almost finished installing it says he cant open buildinfo.h and so it could finalize installasion.

Then he asks about a roleback so i answer no, then i start the game and when i start a new game it will go back to windows and says about a fold in ENGINE.exe.

Could u help please.

(i heared about installing it to a other folder then your POTC and then copy? exept for PROGRAMS????)

Do the following:

1. Copy the file BuildSettings.h from Folder "Program" into parent folder (mainfolder)

2. restart downloading build 12, it's running very fast now because it's reading only till breakpoint

3. installation will be successful now, after installation delete the file BuildSetting.h from mainfolder again

Outstanding Folks! Thank you for saving all of us from a game that could have been great and making it great!! Appreciate all the hard work and dedication!!
 
I'm having one small problems with the quick save feature. On the load/save screen where the quick save file is there is a "bad save" icon. f9 will still load it but if i start the program fresh and push f9 from the main menu I end up with a black screen. I can't select that file and load it from the load/save screen. Any suggestions?

2.6ghz p4
Radeon 9800xt
sound blaster audigy 2
1024 ddr ram

PS. Loading a previous save and pushing f9 has the same result.

Need to say tnx for all ppl who work in this mod, works perfect for me, with a clean install, Tnx very much.
After i play the new Sid Meier's Pirates, (same old game with better grafics, it's great for me to, but...) i think to myself this POTC with Build 12 it's a great game with a great engine for Sea Battles, and we have almost the same rules/features from Sid Meier's Pirates <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />, so 1 more big tnx for all modders and people involved in this great mod.

Heya everyone,
I just want to add my kudo's to those of the rest of the crowd for the mod building crew!!! I was very dissappointed in the original PoTC game, (( Though the movie is one of my all time favorites! )) Akella and Disney (probably disney more than akella )) made PoTC much to linear and constricting for my tastes. I love all the new things in the build but I am having real trouble completing some of the quests. Mefisto? after I go to Q C Island the trail just ends? the spanish admiral's son? Does the governors daughter ever come out for her walk? and the priest one in greenford? where the devil is that dutchman? Am I doing something wrong? Anyone that might can tell me about this stuff just drop a hint.
By the Way I LOVE LOVE LOVE the blacksmith idea. Is there a gunsmith hiding out there too? That would be awesome.

Speaking of which, I am level 20 and for some reason I dont see hide or hair of the blacksmith. I check the dock area on Dauson but no sign of him. He walks around a lot, Cap'n McNil, and looks like Nathaniel Hawk. Humm, that's odd. That's VERY odd. I find him all the time (have a whole collection of blades he has remade for me) - and I think I'm up at level 28 or so, at the moment.

SOMETIMES I see him standing in the same spot as someone else, that guy at the end of the dock... I can't imagine you'd miss that, tho. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
