Build 14 Alpha 9

Holy crap; that is a LOT of missed files.
Did you skip the installation of Build 13 Final first or something??? :shock
 
what i did was install the stock game,downloaded each build as per instructions
doing everything as explained.i did make a copy of stock game and used each build download 2 times
though,1 for my build 14 patch 4 game and one for build 14 alpha 10 wip game, maybe that is
what messed both games up? :shrug
 
I'd recommend you reinstall and make a copy of your Build 13 Final installation first.
Then install Build 14 Alpha 9.5 Patch 4 and make a copy of that. Then install the Alpha 10 WIP on top.
 
ok did as suggested and everything is working great now.well for a alpha build that is :razz
i did encounter a problem though,when playing the missing son of the Spanish admiral side
quest when i went to the tavern in Martinique it popped up for the dialog of meeting
Danielle for the first time and i was stuck at the door and couldn't move at all.otherwise
things are working :dance
 
ok i added that one to the bug tracker.and i remember another bug,i think it's in alpha 9.5 patch4
not sure,i have the launch programs confused lol.
any ways.it's the infamous lacroix story line :will

the prob is when i chose to wait on my crew and break out i kill the commander outside
the prison but the other soldiers don't show up and the church is empty.i think i'm
just cursed on this game :urgh :modding
 
Well not really Thomas hasnt been doing it for that long. Short Jack Gold, Bartolomeu are the most experienced then me and then Thomas :yes
 
almost forgot reason i came to this thread. I've encountered another prob with the lacroix
storyline.

this time the soldier is stuck on the playa da massi shore on Cuba i think.even though
the governor says the ship is at Boca de hubon which if that is where the next bit is supposed
to take place nothing happens :shrug
 
I have just started using PotC on Vista, i have followed the installation instructions to the letter (i.e. not to install into Program Files) however i keep on crashing at random moments, here is my latest error log

Using reference variable without initializing

the last 6 lines have occered on almost every crash, is this just coincidence or somthing else??
 
We cant really help if you dont say which game version your running (ie Build Alpha 9.5 Patch 4) ;)

I have never seen those errors though :modding
 
On the Jack Sparrow storyline, i make the captaine Chevalle sidequest, and when i go to Tortuga to make the Villanueva sidequest, nothing happens. I only talked to myself after i lost the Pearl to Barbossa and sailed with the smuglers to Tortuga. What am i supposed to do to make the Villanueva sidequest without having to lose the Pearl ?
 
If you did the Chevalle quest BEFORE the marooning it should trigger straight AFTER you talk to the smugglers on the jetty.

If you do it after then Chevalle needs to be with you (as an officer NOT a passenger) when you enter Tortuga.

If you do it the first way you get a new ship anyway (but loose it and then get the Jolly Mon) AS THAT IS THE TRUE STORYLINE
 
ok i has new trouble in build 14 alpha 9.5 patch 4
in the jack sparrow story line.i got the interceptor head to Tortuga talk to Gibbs,and the crew
is all joined together,all 3 or 4 in same spot and can't talk to any o them.
