Mod Release Build 14 Beta 3.5 Internal WIP For Testing

The weapons locker did not CTD the dialogue was right I got my equipment out of the chest, but I couldn't get out of the cabin.

I just cannot confirm that on my end; it is working fine like it should.

Can you ZIP your entire PROGRAM folder and upload it somewhere? That would allow me to check if your code is up-to-date.

Ok, this time I got as far as the deck still no crew, but I couldn't get off the boat. I will zip it. Will it be to big for this? I could email it I guess.

The zip file is 5.93. any ideas?

I had to break my PROGRAM folder into 2 parts. The storyline sub folder is as big as the rest of it.

Ok, thanks. I don't know exactly where it is in the dungeon, so this is probably just the old familiar user error. I looked at he quest instructions but haven't located it. :modding
There are several treasure chests in the dungeon, as well as a sword. They're all still present, I've been there.

If you mean buried treasure from a treasure quest, it should be somewhere near the big central column downstairs. If you've been there before and already found the sword, the treasure should be near where you found it, possibly on the same spot. If you haven't already taken the sword before the treasure quest then that may be why the treasure didn't show up.

Ok, here is my program file split into parts. I am not sure you can do anything with this, but I sure appreciate your interest. If it is too much work to try fix what appears to a problem affecting only me, jus let me know and I will just go back to playing the previous version.

Thanks for all you do.

Ok thanks, clearly there is more to explore.

As far as I can tell, there are no big differences between my game version and yours, but you are slightly behind on the updates.
I'd recommend installing the attachment from the opening post again, just to be sure.
Check also that the files being extracted do actually overwrite the ones in your game folder and don't end up somewhere else.

Otherwise, I will be making a new update EXE some time soon, after I have figured out some other things.
That should bring you up-to-date for sure.

When I extract the patch do I put it on top of the POTC folder 0r the program folder?

Main PotC folder; the ZIP is clever enough to know where to put things. ;)

Ok.
1. I still can't get off the ship or into the hold or crew quarters or go to sea when starting BFF at the pirate village.

However the game works fine using stormy start. I have finally realized that I usually use stormy start so I have no idea whether or not the trouble I am having at the pirate village to begin the game is new or not.

Bizarre. How about the Standard storyline? Does that work?
BBF is a near carbon-copy of that so theoretically they should either both be broken or both be working.

I will check on that. No, standard works just the same. You can talk to hatcher, get your stuff and leave the cabin, but you can't go to the other places on the ship, go to shore or go to sea.

BTW, I think I have missed a setting somewhere hostile ships no longer are red when I go from the world map. Where is the setting for that.?

I can confirm somethings is wrong whit the standard storyline. But I can go to shore and around all over the ship, but when I try to open weapons locker, the game breaks down.

That might be related to the Realism Mode. But it hasn't been changed any time recently.

Are you sure you have the LATEST archive from the opening post?
I did mess things up a few days back, but it has been fixed already so those errors should no longer occur.

Will Turner and Elizabeth Shaw are missing at La Torture. You get the character missing error both in the tavern and in the Turner house and the game freezes.

Also I got an escort mission to take a merchant to Buccaneer's Camp on Hispaniola which I thought was Le Torture. When I got there the merchant did not meet me there. Did I make a mistake or is there something wrong?
